Looks like Siem has a visor for today. He was hatless yesterday, but got a ton of TV time. And it is shockingly weird to see a tour pro without a hat.

I wonder how much Callaway is paying him for donning it.

Casey poops his pants earlier than usual
My comment about Casey and Harman on Thursday aged well. They are always in the mix on Thursday and Friday.

I hate Harman's stupid putter. So I cannot root for him. But it would be awesome if Casey could win a major. He won't, though. He's a younger Westwood.

I can’t believe Casey only made bogey at 1. That had triple written all over it.

I’ve been in the car about 8 hours over the last 48 hours. Listening to the radio broadcast on Sirius/XM, which is British, and the only one apparently available for any radio platforms.

It is dreadfully awful. Just so much fluff, failed cute/cheeky commentary, and reading emails/tweets from listeners that always seem to praise the broadcast.

Yeah, I've listened to a fair amount of it too, and the emails, especially, are just terrible broadcasting.

A lot of soccer games on the radio that broadcast from there do the same thing.

"Smith lining up the free kick in a dangerous area...Dave from the East End reaches out to say 'Keep up the good work! Go United!'...the free kick was pushed wide."

I thought Stenson’s 264 at the 2016 Open (lowest 72-hole score at any major, I think) was going to fall this weekend, but I think that’s less than an even-money shot now.

Jordan mucked the absolute shit out of the finishing holes. Two bad bogeys to finish.
Everyone yips a short putt every now and then. Taking 4 shots to get down from maybe 50 yards out is something I’d be upset with myself for doing, and I’m a total hacker. Totally agree — brutal finish.

Yeah, he blew the approach (to be fair, one more yard and it's over the hill and a perfect approach) but it messed him up. He wasn't scrambling, which is why those bogeys are jus brutal.

This course would play materially tougher if they narrowed the fairways just a bit.

It’s the lack of wind that’s making it easier than normal
Oh yeah, I get that these links courses are incredibly difficult when it’s windy. But I do think they should tweak the fairway widths a bit so that it’s still challenging when the wind doesn’t show, which isn’t a rare occurrence.

Edit: “Challenging”‘is the wrong word, but I think the course is too easy. I mean, the cut was +1.

Koepka is -5 through 12 and hasn’t even seized every opportunity. Amazing.

Another narrow miss on a birdie putt for Koepka. -5 through 14. (Edit: and another narrow miss on 15.)

A 62 or 63 on this course looks like what Koepka is doing now coupled with good putt luck.

I get that a camera going off is annoying, but if you are a major-winning pro and the click of a camera during your swing causes you to completely fan the shot short and right, your problem is bigger than the distraction. (Edit: Spieth made a great grinding par, so he atoned.)

On another front, Louis is handling the pressure of round 4 in predictable fashion.

Morikawa is getting that Tiger-like look about him. Keeping the pressure on Louis with shot after shot. Impressive.

If he makes the birdie putt, he may run away and hide. Alternatively, he may slow down and Louis will recover to get a back door second.

Either way, seems like Morikawa’s to lose.

I hate these PXG commercials
The markup on their website is hilarious. Want DG S400 iron shafts? One of the more common shafts out there? +$39 per club for a shaft that RETAILS for $23.99.

I'm pretty sure they're targeting the pickup driving thin blue line punisher logo crowd too. Check out their putter names: Gunboat! Spitfire! Mustang! Blackbird! With slogans like: Packing heat! Targeted strike! Tactical machine!
