NL is the away team today because this makes 2 straight ASG in NL parks and they wanted to not put the AL at a disadvantage since the game counts

In the sense of 'being a prodigy' I suppose. Still sounds a bit odd, given the association.

Good lord trout is batting over .600 on first pitch
Up until this year, he rarely swung at them. He was notorious for taking the first pitch -- something like 10 percent in his career before this year and the league average is much higher. Pretty much only swings when he gets exactly what he's looking for.

They pointed out that the AL is the first team that has a starting infield and catcher that are 26 and under, but they could have added the OF to that too.
They made that fact sound special but it's the entire starting lineup under 26.
