You have to add 18 yards from ball spot. They were around the 50.Oh I must've read the field wrong.
No the ball was near midfield it would have been 66 or so.Why wouldn't you attempt the FG? Wasn't it 51 yards?
Smart call to run right at him. That last series was almost as stupid as Mcvay’s 3rd and 4th quarter calls.Donald's third down tackle might be one of the most impressive defensive plays in Super Bowl history. Dude stopped a running back in his tracks, while being blocked.
Yep. It was awesome and fitting for him to basically win the game single handedly at the end. Stop third down short, basically a sack on fourth.I know it’s been said forever but Donald is so good. An absolute a hole on the field but man
And Ramsey grabbed multiple times. They called nothing and then everything changed with 2 minutes to go.Wait, so Chase yanks down Ramsey by his helmet and it's the Bengals who got jobbed by the refs? I don't think so.
Ones that happen at the end are always magnified.Wait, so Chase yanks down Ramsey by his helmet and it's the Bengals who got jobbed by the refs? I don't think so.
People are upset because the last two minutes were called differently than the rest of the gamePeople complaining about flags must never watch the NFL. This is a pretty standard game. Not saying it's great or anything, but this is how A LOT of games develop.
As opposed to not calling the OPI/facemask on the Higgins TD?Having the refs gift you flags matters.
Wasn't even the worst call of the game, which gifted Cincy 7 pointsWhat a great game just torpedoed by those flags. Wanted to see Stafford get a ring, and Donald was incredible, but that's gotta be one of the worst calls in league history.
He said Stafford had nobody to throw the ball to…except the best WR in football?Re: Collinsworth, it has nothing to do with the Pats. It was a great drive but best ever? There have been a number of great drives in NFL history, maybe pump the brakes a little bit.
And again I like Al and Chris but that was a bit much.
It really was. Close but not a great game. This game was somehow kind of boring.
Agreed.People complaining about flags must never watch the NFL. This is a pretty standard game. Not saying it's great or anything, but this is how A LOT of games develop.
They moved him around enough to keep it tricky. He was on different sides on third and fourth.Smart call to run right at him. That last series was almost as stupid as Mcvay’s 3rd and 4th quarter calls.
He did not. He said he was going to live in the momentDid he confirm in interview?
It was mentioned before the game.
ThisGuys the Bengals got 7 points on one of the worst uncalled OPIs of all time, it's not like they didnt also benefit from awful officiating
he really is a spectacular playerTo make everything about the Pats, neutralizing Donald in that SB is still hard to believe,
Yeah I guess that's fair. And again I did want the Rams. But that goalline sequence really sucked the fun right out of what should have been an incredible ending.Wasn't even the worst call of the game, which gifted Cincy 7 points
Do you really think that this was a conspiracy or that the crowd was influenced by the non-partisan crowd? The team that the least amount of people in the world give a fuck about was helped to a win just because they were in their "home" stadium
What a joke of a league.
They're filling airtime. Everything has to be the best ever in the moment.Re: Collinsworth, it has nothing to do with the Pats. It was a great drive but best ever? There have been a number of great drives in NFL history, maybe pump the brakes a little bit.
And again I like Al and Chris but that was a bit much.
Bingo.People are upset because the last two minutes were called differently than the rest of the game
Agreed...just because the calls evened out late in the game it doesn't change the fact that missed face mask call led directly to a TD. At least the Rams still had to score on their own. It’s hard for me to be too upset at the call given the Bengals were gifted a TD on the no call on the face mask but that’s a brutal way to lose
also seems to be forgetting what forum this is.You realize you are doing the exact same thing here that we were doing? Mentioning it.
But it kind of wasn't. They pretty much let them play until the last couple of minutes. Should have kept doing that.People complaining about flags must never watch the NFL. This is a pretty standard game. Not saying it's great or anything, but this is how A LOT of games develop.
Ahhh, how quickly Malcolm Butler is forgotten. Did CC type this?Donald's third down tackle might be one of the most impressive defensive plays in Super Bowl history. Dude stopped a running back in his tracks, while being blocked.
The Giants drive in SB XXV is the greatest drive in SB history. It took 9:29 off the clock; involved 3 third and long conversions, including Mark Ingram's amazing third and 13 pass reception in which he broke four tackles, and ended in a TD.Re: Collinsworth, it has nothing to do with the Pats. It was a great drive but best ever? There have been a number of great drives in NFL history, maybe pump the brakes a little bit.
And again I like Al and Chris but that was a bit much.
That is the one defensive play in SB history that flipped a championship.Ahhh, how quickly Malcolm Butler is forgotten. Did CC type this?
You need a FG with a kid who is nails. Dumb. Dumb dumb. And when McVay finally decided to go to maybe the best receiver in football they click. They moved him around enough to keep it tricky. He was on different sides on third and fourth.
I don't know why teams are always bad or stupid around here (I mean maybe I do know). But these are the best two teams in the league. They beat all other comers. Is everyone in the league a moron or something?
Couldn’t agree more. The game had zero flow and poor execution all around. When one team literally can’t run the ball and the other is getting sacked continuously and can’t sustain drives. Snooze fest. This game was somehow kind of boring.
You could actually see it in a clip of Stafford throwing the ball, although the announcers didn't comment on it. It was a legit call. The Rams lost a TD on a supposed holding that we never even saw a replay of.
It hurt that they called next to nothing all game, and then seemed to be chucking two flags on every play at the end.Yeah I guess that's fair. And again I did want the Rams. But that goalline sequence really sucked the fun right out of what should have been an incredible ending.
