I'm glad I'm not the only one. I immediately checked to see if it was a P&G thread, before reading it more carefully. All I saw at first on my phone was "Red Sox Acquire Vladimir G...' and I almost had a heart attack.

If it comes down to cutting Jacques for someone with even a whiff of starter potential, I'm in.Well, I obviously hope it works out but this one is kind of a puzzler to me. On the plus side, he's got a good deal of control left (4 years) and two options. And @Marciano490 will just love the tattoos. But he does cost a 40-man spot and looks like he'll need some time to get with whatever the new program is for him. Because the old one won't work.
The Sox have two maybe 60-day IL guys with Walter and Mata, and could always cut a player. I suppose it's just weird to see this move right now, given all the questions about injured and replacement players.
Hey! He was on my fantasy team back in 2021 or 2022 as a pretty good profiled riser for Cincinnati. I know him!OK I dropped his first name since no one knows who he is before reading about him anyway.
The opportunity cost is negligible, assuming you don’t think the short money will make or break whether we can do something bigger at the deadline. We can always cut Gutierrez if a better use for the roster spot arises. For now, we might as well see if we can get 50 IP at a 4.5 ERA out of him. The statcast data from his 4-inning appearance for Miami is enough to justify the flier imo.Well, I obviously hope it works out but this one is kind of a puzzler to me. He's old enough now to be Whistler's FatherI figured it was this guy reinventing himself. He's 63, so his range at SS is probably not what it once was, but I bet he still has the same sure hands that led to 31 errors in 1984. He'd fit right in.

He was like a slower David Hamilton, he''d fit in well with our current middle infield.I figured it was this guy reinventing himself. He's 63, so his range at SS is probably not what it once was, but I bet he still has the same sure hands that led to 31 errors in 1984. He'd fit right in.
