Going to do ballot discussion for both leagues in one thread.

Here's the initial list for AL MVP, basically using the WAR numbers and some other numbers : Trout, Donaldson, Cruz, Bautista, Beltre, Machado, Encarnacion, Cabrera, Cain, Fielder, Betts, Keuchel, Price, Gray.

NL list: Harper, Goldschmidt, Votto, Bryant, Rizzo, Posey, McCutcheon, Greinke, Arrieta, Kershaw, Arenado, Scherzer, Cespedes.

That's 14 for the AL and 13 for the NL. It's possible I missed someone obvious, so let me know. If you have a dark horse you think deserves a look, let me know.

Assuming a basic consensus forms (it's not like we need to really discuss guys like Trout and Harper), I'll take the top 15 or so and start a poll for our voting.

And to think I thought by the title we were nominating members for the great season they had in the game threads.

If we need 15 per league it may not be outrageous to put Degrom at the tail end. Trying to figure a last nl option to make it a potential list of 15. Maybe Melancon? Cannot think of another hitter unless Schwarber played long enough. This will be fun.

I came here ready to vote for DC Missle for his great work in the myriad of Deflategate and related threads.
