Hi folks. Big big fight tomorrow - Garcia vs Tank. Both very fast, very talented, very brash (well, Tank is, Garcia seems a bit try hard, but he can back it up) and very powerful. They’ve both pledged to bet their entire purses and there’s been a bunch of bad blood and rivalry, so if you’re only gonna illegally stream one fight this year….

Please dont. Buy this fight. Two young undefeated fighters. The sport needs this

I get it, I really do, but counterpoint - the best way for young fighters to make money long term is to become household names and businessmen and for that they’re better served by eyeballs than ppv revenue. The average fan never ever ever watches for $80, but when I send them free links for big fights, they’ll watch.

But I know you love the sport and the fighters and I can 100% see the logic and persuasion behind your point.

Maybe the major takeaway is that it’s sad the sport has descended to this point that this is an issue with two young, bombastic phenoms meeting in their primes.

No i get it. It's a weird spot, you want the sport to grow but my thinking is my short term. This doing big numbers will force other guys to the table.

They were on Sportscenter last night

A few more random thoughts

+If he can stay out of jail, tank is in an excellent spot professionally. He doesnt really have a weight class and like Canelo can cherrypick, probably win, and make a ton of money. He can just float between catchweights. And he fights, so while these other guys are taking forever to make fights, he's collecting checks.

+Tank has become more and more a cerebral fighter. Similar to floyd, he's a disaster outside the ring but in the squared circle his 4d chess game has improved a ton.

+On Ryan, i know golden boy doesnt have a lot of fighters but i hope they dont fuck this up. This has the potential to be a great learning experience for him but he needs to be scaled up a little better. Tank was way too high of a jump.

+ i dont see anyone exciting for Tank next. Stevenson and Haney are the fight fans dream for building a HOF resume but not necessarily exciting for the sportscenter crowd. I can see him fighting a welterweight at a catch of 143-145 ish. Maybe a Keith Thurman.

Huge fight this weekend. Two p4p guys in Loma and Haney.
Man Loma has been dragged through the mud. Everyone is expecting a Haney walkover and he's been talking so much shit. Then yesterday he shoves him at the weigh in.

I get it, Loma is old. But the loma slander is outta control.

Yeah why do they do that? Maybe 115-113 if you’re just scoring for hard shots and like bodywork, but they always have that tell with those over the top scores. Loma all class.

Well at least a new boxing class was born the Paper Undisputed Champion

At 116-112, you'd have to give Loma basically 0 of like the first 7 rounds since Haney won the 12th.

Is this guy even a boxer?
He is a punch first fighter in MMA but Fury should drown him easily. Francis doesn’t really have the cardio for a long boxing match. The money would be in having Fury take a dive in the first fight to get 3 matches.
