How many times did he use the pronoun 'I'? I've lost count.
1, 2, 4...6 women is definitely something to be concerned about, no matter the lawyer.
Stop yourself before you agree with soxhop....This whole thing makes me very uncomfortable. You want to give everyone the opportunity to make accusations free of bias, but I mean it’s impossible not to think something is up in terms of ulterior motives. McNair is a vile human being himself. Part of me wonders if these accusations are legit if McNair didn’t help to cover them up and is now weaponizing them.
Oh vey.
I’m not really going to be ashamed to say there’s an added layer here that makes is an extra layer of awkward to discuss. McNair is a fucking terrible person (and maybe Watson is too), so my initial thoughts are anything is possible here and let the facts emerge as they may.Stop yourself before you agree with soxhop....
Which dominoes to the Pats, as it eliminates what was the mostly likely scenario of Jimmy heading here.I have no insight on the merits of the case but I think its safe to say that no NFL team is going to be trading three or four 1st round picks to the Texans for Watson without being very confident that this isn't going to end in a big league suspension, a criminal case, or some other outcome that forces them to cut ties with him. I don't know what the time frame looks like on these court proceedings but this has to throw a huge spanner in the works of any ongoing trade discussions.
Tom bradyMy only take on this is that Watson is not on my list of players I would be shocked were abusers, for reference I will list those players below:
Nope. There are none, and that's the point.Tom brady
Phillip Rivers
The allegations may be true and he definitely may be an asshole but at least the first two complaints don't allege anything remotely close to a viable criminal case.I dont want to be that guy for a myriad of reasons, but I can't help myself.
If he comes to the Patriots, the league will make sure he never sees the field for at least year, maybe forever. That pails in comparison to what he may have done to these women, but whatever smoke we created as fans for acquiring Watson has dissipated.
If Watson used his reputation and power to lean on women and manipulate them into having sex? Hope he ends up in fucking jail. If not, I hope the trial is speedy and it's back to playing ball as soon as possible.
Why do people have to be so horrible?
I'd add Vince Wilfork to that list just so it's less black and white. I'd be shockedNope. There are none, and that's the point.
Edit- to make it more clear, nobody really knows these people, or any celebrity, beyond what they choose to let you know. But also, they are powerful, rich and usually control freak narcissists, the exact type of people that are actually more likely to abuse their positions.
Ben Watson for me, I'd be completely floored.I'd add Vince Wilfork to that list just so it's less black and white. I'd be shocked
Matthew Slater would be mine.Ben Watson for me, I'd be completely floored.
Could you IMAGINE if the Texans were somehow implicated in bringing these women to falsely accuse Watson? Honestly, it would probably be one of the biggest scandals in sports history. I don't know if you were implying that specifically, but I've seen it mentioned on here before and it's absurd. The organization would practically crumble. I have no idea where the truth lies in these lawsuits, but I'd be stunned if the Texans were involved. This situation seems very messy, so I'm choosing to patiently wait for all of the information to be revealed.
That said, I'll say this:
Watson's legal fees are multiplying by the day. Significant money spent fighting ongoing lawsuits = much more difficult to hold out.
With so many potential shady characters involved and money at stake, it wouldn't shock me if certain football folk are a part of this, in some capacity.
It's absurd. The conspiracy would involve getting a lawyer to involve himself in conduct that would almost certainly get him disabarred and possibly worse, and would mean that the team hatched a scheme that would require at least three and possibly six women to lie, some or all of which actually seem to have texts that at least tend to show that there was some connection to Watson and massages. It's really tinfoil hat stuff to think that the Texans would smear the face of the franchise in order TO GET HIM TO STAY. These type of allegations never go away no matter the outcome. And some of you think they did this to their own player? That they want to stay in Houston?
Occam's Razor -- There's a good chance that DeShaun Watson arranges for massages and then does shitty things to women.
Because women on instagram who are offering to fly around the country and give massages are a lot more likely to be sex workers than masseuses. But you know that. And if a pro athlete is flying someone in for therapy they are bringing in someone with credentials. She's not a licensed massage therapist but the credentials he was interested in were likely on display on IG.
If this is a reference to my client's flying three members of the Russian bikini modeling team to his place in the Hamptons I will remind you that he has consistently maintained that those instances were related to international diplomacy and should be addressed as such.I think @Marciano490 has actually made this point before.
In fairness the allegations will make him more flexible as regards to his NTC. Sadly both can be true, which is to say that Watson is a huge fucking shitstain and the Texans are also slimy. It's really tinfoil hat stuff to think that the Texans would smear the face of the franchise in order TO GET HIM TO STAY. These type of allegations never go away no matter the outcome. And some of you think they did this to their own player? That they want to stay in Houston?
But they said they won't trade him, so not sure that worked. If there is a conspiracy here, it's more likely the Texans knew something was on the horizon, and, in order to eat and have the cake, either asked Watson to demand a trade or created an environment to achieve that result.
Then what are you saying? If Watson met a masseuse (who was not a licensed massage therapist) on Instagram, and flew her from Atlanta to Houston for a massage, he 100% thought he was hiring a prostitute.
To be clear, I"m not saying that makes anything he may have done in that hotel room ok.
He's saying Watson 100% thought he was hiring a prostitute and Watson therefore assumed he could whip it out. And the poster is saying that's fucked up.Then what are you saying?
Yep. He is now stuck with the Texans and if these allegations are true its a perfect marriage.I have no insight on the merits of the case but I think its safe to say that no NFL team is going to be trading three or four 1st round picks to the Texans for Watson without being very confident that this isn't going to end in a big league suspension, a criminal case, or some other outcome that forces them to cut ties with him. I don't know what the time frame looks like on these court proceedings but this has to throw a huge spanner in the works of any ongoing trade discussions.
I figured that out, I just wanted to hear him stumble over his explanation. He's saying Watson 100% thought he was hiring a prostitute and Watson therefore assumed he could whip it out but that is fucked up.
Why?I figured that out, I just wanted to hear him stumble over his explanation.
He was saying exactly what DJnVa said he was saying? That Watson probably thought he was hiring a prostitute, but that doesn’t justify what he did? Hence the final sentence of his postWell then, what were you trying to say? That Watson was somehow justified in doing what’s alleged? You’ve got the floor.
No apologies needed, only an explanation, which you’ve provided.I'm saying exactly what both DJnVA and azsoxpatsfan restated (probably more succinctly than I did). I added the second sentence specifically to make it clear that I wasn't trying to justify his alleged actions. I'm confused about how it was taken to mean anything else despite my effort to clarify. I'm sorry if the way I worded it contributed to this confusion. Hopefully you'll accept my apology and we can move on because I don't think this is adding much to the topic at this point.
Not really - if the dude was paying for consensual sex every night, then who cares. The question is if he's a serial predator or a victim of extortion.Which all leads to the question of how many "legitimate" prostitutes he has hired
Because it's the age of Twitter and everyone wants to be a huge, moralizing, asshole because they think it gives them street cred. Why?

I've a friend that's a professional sex worker and this is part of how she does business these days. She doesn't have any celebrity clients, though, hers are all middle aged businessmen looking for a walk on the wildside. I'm sure that Watson's done this dozens of times and I'm positive that his agent has lectured him hundreds of times about not doing shit like this (hiring prostitutes). I'm hoping that New England stays 20,000 light years away from this asshole.Which all leads to the question of how many "legitimate" prostitutes he has hired
I mean once you know his habit it's not hard to basically trawl his IG followers and followed lists and figure out who he'd contacted and find likely candidates. And it's not even necessarily the case that he was only hiring sex workers through IG. It's certainly possible that there were women that he'd brought it to pull the celebrity card on and that this is just his just desserts. They are now saying there are 9 women.
Oh, well that gives me confidenceNFL has announced they will look into allegations.
