Not a good first round for Rob in the first finals event. 10 of 18 GiR, 35.5% driving accuracy, and 34 putts = +2 round of 73, And t82.

72 today (17 pars and a bogey) and he’ll miss the cut. Looks like he hit the ball much better today, both off the tee and with his irons, but still didn’t make any putts. 71 putts in two days won’t get it done.

Putting a zero up in event #1 means he’s really going to have his work cut out for him in the next two.

I didn't think it was possible for Rob to have 71 putts over 2 rounds. Something is going on, and that's his money club so he better figure it out fast.

That said, imagine having 71 putts over 2 rounds and shooting 73 and 72 on these courses?

These guys literally do not play the same game we do.

-10 thru 17 to take the lead by 2 strokes!

Most of the leaders haven't teed off yet, Rob was pretty far down the board after Friday. There are about 15 guys who could catch him today, based on a quick scan of the leaderboard.
An excellent round, of course. If he can repeat it tomorrow he can do some damage in a good way

I pulled up the Korn Ferry leaderboard and had to do a double take when I read his score. That’s an impressive card. I would love to watch him and Hovland as a group tomorrow.

This is my #1 sports viewing choice for tomorrow. One good round, and it’s back to the bigs! Can’t imagine trying to get a good night’s sleep tonight for him.

Hovland is in at -15, a couple guys with holes to play are at -12. He’s right there and in position to be in the final group with Viktor.

Wow hadn’t even had time to look at this today. Saw him in the middle of the field going into the weekend and thought well it would be nice to grab a top 25 and have it come down the last event, but this is big. I will be following closely tomorrow.

I spent the day down at Oyster Creek in Duxbury and saw he eagled 2, so I texted his brother and then he eagled 3. His brother and I were together yesterday and he said Rob loves the course and felt like he could go really low there. We spent the day celebrating via text. What a round. Lot of work to do tomorrow, but he's in the final group with Hovland. Coverage starts at 4:30 on golf channel so hopefully, he'll play well early and we'll get a bunch of TV time for him.

Got 1 back at 10, so he is T7 and 4 back of the lead. Of equal/more importance, Golf Channel projects he needs T6 or better to secure his PGA Tour card for next year. Important 8 holes for Rob.

This is brutal. Was watching with all our friends at the club, and we decided it was bad luck, so now I'm back home. 15 and 16 are both birdie holes, has to make a couple coming in.

Unless he goes birdie, birdie, next week is going to matter. But, every swing counts so much right now. A tie for 9th, or 8th by himself is a big difference, etc.

Welp, unless he goes -2 or +2 over these last two, he’s probably locked into T9. Will still be in great position going into the final event.

Tied for 16 going into the final week. Probably just needs a made cut to make it, but he is going to end up pretty far down the priority list each week.

They said there would be no math, but I’ll estimate a top 35 would lock him in. They were saying on the broadcast yesterday that top 6 would’ve done it, which is roughly 200 points. He MC’d week 1, picked up 155 points yesterday. 34th place this week gets 44 points which would get him to 199. This is the first year of the points system, so it’s hard to get a feel on just how much wiggle room he has.

Let’s not leave it to chance though, 2 good rounds Thursday and Friday will help immensely.
