Yeah, I really thought he was going to win in 2002.Love this for Dusty.
And this. He took a Nationals team in chaos and won 95+ games both years, then unceremoniously pushed aside for a younger dude. He deserves this.Love this for Dusty.
Dusty and Mancini are the reasons why I decided to root for Astros in the WS. That and the fact that Houston has never* won a Series before so they're due.Happy for Trey Mancini, too
But we would have known by about May 3rd that it must be with another team. How many of us would have been ecstatic last April if we were told that Vazski would be getting a World Series ring this year?
Somehow, this is going to lead to Bobby V getting another job.
Like ya’ll know he has a ws ring right?Dusty gets his ring, all good.
How many times are we going to do this?Like ya’ll know he has a ws ring right?
At least you never have to worry about running out of batteries.Happy for Baker, but sad for my wife, a huge Phillies fan.
I believe that was recited two months agoTime for that saddest of essays, "Green Fields of the Mind."
Correct, and has been on the end of several what ifs, but he still has a ws ring. Not as a manager
time is an infinite loop. Sorry im grumpy for other reasons tonite. Plus no rings hereHow many times are we going to do this?
Fair. I save it for the last day of the season, however. When the long wait begins.I believe that was recited two months ago
He was a big part of that Dodgers WS team, but winning for the first time in 30 years as a manager is a different accomplishment.time is an infinite loop. Sorry im grumpy for other reasons tonite. Plus no rings here
NiceAt least you never have to worry about running out of batteries.
And they disappointed Phillies fans, who are in my opinion a much bigger band of assholes than are Yankees fans. Yes, I said it. Prove me wrong.I know I already posted something like this, but it's painful seeing the Astros win the WS. At least there's a few positive aspects though, like Dusty, Verlander, and Vazquez, and also the fact that they swept the Yankees in the ALCS.
Other than that, screw the Astros. I hope the Mariners take over in the Division next year.
I'd say Phillies fans are the second worst. Nothing can ever top Yankees fans as the worst in all of sports. And they disappointed Phillies fans, who are in my opinion a much bigger band of assholes than are Yankees fans. Yes, I said it. Prove me wrong.
If a war broke out with say, Canada or Iceland, I'm sure Yankees fans would fight for the US.I'd say Phillies fans are the second worst. Nothing can ever top Yankees fans as the worst in all of sports.
