That screams overpay but what do I know. I wouldn’t have lost sleep over him leaving.

This reeks of your typical "looks bad at first glance, but actually isn't" type of deal. If the 10 million guaranteed includes his year 1 salary and let's say a 5 million dollar signing bonus, its probably better to view it as something like a 2 year deal for 12-14 million and a couple of higher priced options. He's solid when used correctly (I think he's best used as a rotational run-stuffing DE on early downs who can move inside as a solid pass rushing DT). Still only 26 so he may still have more upside yet. I'd give it a B- to B if I were grading.

Still feels like an overpay for a JAG. That said he is still young, played 56% of the snaps last year, had his best, most consistent year (a result of putting on some weight, I think I read), and is supposedly a good leader.
