Last night was a disgrace BUT I'm willing to give the team a mulligan if they can revert back to playing a better brand of baseball. Cut down on the Ks, stop handling the baseball like it's covered in shit, get on base, run often and run smaht. WELCOME BACK WILE E!!!!

Great title to the thread, YTF. Cincinnatians seem to like it, but that chili spaghetti combo is disgusting. Pivetta, 3.88 ERA vs. Montas 4.62. Go Sox!

Their shortstop has 15 errors already. Can you even imagine?
And we’ve had like 15 shortstops!

I’m headed away for two weeks abroad. (A hiatus from teaching.) Hopefully, I can manage zones and wifi and still post series-starting poems… though the winning percentage on opening games may improve if I miss a couple.

I've never actually had the official Cincy Chili, so I'm not really sure what all the hub bub's about. That said, I make decent chili and find it to be just OK over a smaller type pasta. I can't imagine how that eats ladled over spaghetti. Guessing the chili is more of a meat sauce with spices? Kind of a thinned out, hot dog meat sauce.

Yeah. It's not Chili. It's more Sloppy Joe.

16 years ago a battalion of SoSHers invaded Cincinnati and are ballpark food and drank lots of beer and crossed the street when the Don’t Walk sign was eliminated. And we certainly avoided that shitty chili. And @BoSoxLady tried to seduce at least one member of the BoSox.

My husband makes great chili. I have mine over spaghetti with grated cheddar, and I love it. The chili is not thin, but chunky. No problem. Yummy.
GEAUX, SOX!!!!!!!!!!!!Make @YTF a winner, even if he thinks hubbub is two words.

Many people in New England think chili is bland brown soup with loads of kidney beans. I wouldn't put that junk over pasta (or eat it at all actually.) Real chili is meat stewed with chili peppers. That could be good over spaghetti, if it's done right.

I forgot Montas was involved in this

Before the 2013 trade deadline, the Red Sox traded Montas and fellow minor leaguers J. B. Wendelken and Cleuluis Rondon to the Chicago White Sox in a three-team trade, where Jake Peavy went from the White Sox to the Red Sox, José Iglesias went from the Red Sox to the Detroit Tigers, Avisaíl García went from the Tigers to the White Sox, and Brayan Villarreal went from the Tigers to the Red Sox.

God, I was really excited by the Yoshida signing, loved what we got the first half of last year, but now just don't see any way he should be playing for this team.

What a disaster.

As a joke, Alex Cora called Masataka Yoshida into the office after the game last night and told him he was going to have his first game without grounding out to second base. “F—- that,” Yoshida said.
