Nuggets vs. Heat for the NBA Championship

I hate typing it and I’m sure the NBA and ABC hate that it isn’t the other two finalists, but it’s real and it starts tonight, so we might as well talk about it.

I am rooting for the Nugs to get their first title.

Watching your team lose in the Conference Finals is always tough. Watching the team that beat you get destroyed in the Finals makes it a little better. Please channel the 2013 Seahawks, Denver. Destroy the Heat.

I'm very intrigued to see if the Heat magic can continue. Will Caleb Martin be lighting up the Nuggs? Personally it'd feel a little redemptive if it turned out they were champs.

Adam Mares (really good Denver Nuggets writer) was on the Lowe Post last week and he said that he thought that the Nuggets match up better with the Heat than they do any other team that made the playoffs or the play-in.

I think this is going to be a dismantling. I am going to say Nuggets in 6 but it feels like it's never even that close

Ha I thought of 2013 as well before I even got to your final sentence. That was a fun Super Bowl. I don't hate the Heat nearly as much as Manning. But this should still be a fun beatdown.

That was a tough one for me. I had just moved to Jersey City and the Broncos were staying in the Hyatt that was literally 0.1 miles away from me so I saw their bus roll in, all this Broncos stuff, etc. while dealing with the bitterness of the AFCCG loss and lamenting having freaking Austin Collie and Steven Jackson play key roles.

I, fortunately, had tickets to the SB so I was basically on Team 12th Man the entire game and it was glorious. I certainly hope Denver is up to the task.
