Now that the Patriots season is over, who are your AFC rooting interests?

Most Bills fans I personally know are diehards, defeatists, and very good people. But their fanbase as a whole, as judged from trips I've made to their prison yard of a stadium, is atrocious. It's hard to reconcile.
"Prison yard of a stadium"...............that's good.

"Let's put it in Foxboro; THAT will show them!!"

Yeah; no it won't.

Having been to a game in Buffalo I think they're a pretty fun fanbase...then you see people walking around in OJ jerseys. Weird bunch.

Both my kids went to college in Buffalo and my daughter's boyfriend lives there and is a diehard fan. To those of us on the outside, this Bills season seems like it would be a magical ride for their fans, but talking to him it's evident how nervous he is that the team will not get over the hump. It really reminds me of how me and all of the Sox I knew felt prior to October of '04. I can't help but pull for them now, with the Browns right behind them.

The Browns making the Super Bowl would be glorious if for no other reason than we all know they'd lose the game in the most gut punch/nut punch/absolutely improbable way possible; a franchise that has "the drive", "the fumble", the greatest coach in NFL history at the helm and then goes down the toilet once the move is announced only to move to another city and go on to win two Super Bowls on their resume won't disappoint.
Again, change the details and that sounds an awful like the pre-2004 Sox. What did Cleveland's fans do to deserve more of this misery?

It really does; not only did the pre 2004 Red Sox lose, but they lost in the most horrific ways possible.

No loss will ever top the 1986 World Series.

That city is truly cursed, more specifically the Browns, which considering how successful they were in the 1950's/1960's is a total head scratcher.

Their fans deserve a better fate.

* Here is why I think the Jets can win this game. 1) They already almost beat us. 2) With Becton back they are going to be able to run on the Pats and well. When he was in the game last time they ran behind him and he destroyed our edges. 3) Our edges can't set an edge. 4) NYJ receivers are healthy and NEP will be down Gilmore. 5) It might be Stidham's first or second game starting. 6) BB might play the younger guys in more extended looks to see how they do/give them some experience. 7) While BB would never tank a season he has rested starters before in the last game of the season when the game wasn't meaningful to either side.
** KC rests their starters

Projected final standings:

1. JAX 1-15 (Need a QB)
2. NYJ 3-13 (Maybe a QB)
3. HOU/MIA 4-12
4. ATL 4-12 (Maybe QB)
5. CIN 4-11-1
6. DET 5-11 (Maybe QB)
7. NYG 5-11 (Maybe QB)
8. CAR 5-11 (Maybe QB)
9. DEN 5-11 (Maybe QB)
10. PHL 5-10-1 (Maybe QB)
11. SF 6-10 (Maybe QB)
12. NE 6-10 (Maybe QB)
13. WAS 7-9 (Maybe QB)
14. LAC 7-9
15. MIN 7-9 (Maybe QB)
16. CHI 8-8 (Maybe QB)
17. LV 8-8 (Maybe QB)

Looks like if the Pats finish 0-2 they will pick 12th and if they finish 1-1 they will pick 15th. The problem is that they will have 11-12 teams in front of them who would possibly want a QB.

Using the Rich Hill Draft value chart if they end up with 15 they could move up to 6 or 7 with 15 and 47 if they wanted to get a QB. If they end up 12th they could trade up to 4 with 12 and 44. I'm not saying they should but that's the math if they need to get a QB.
