Looked like tangle-up rather than penalty to me, but it was definitely before ball was tipped

I believe BB would rather face Pitt than KC, because KC does have the players to scheme a front four that can get pressure on Brady, just like Houston did. I don't think the old Man, James Harrison, and his fellow d lineman for Pitt can do that. While I'm certainly more afraid of Ben, Bell and Brown than I am anyone on the KC offense, I don't think Bill really worries about opponents offenses. He's got that shit down. It also doesn't hurt that he's already game planned for Pitt once this year, and Bill has some sort of insane record when he faces teams more than once, doesn't he?
Would you believe the Chiefs have the third-worst sack rate in the NFL? A lot of that was without Justin Houston, but still. I do agree with your overall point - Pats rarely lose a shootout.

Yes, what I'm saying is that spying Hill (if they did it) would be a totally different role than they have used, so what they do in their more typical sets is only somewhat predictive.
I don't really see why they'd do this. Hill runs a lot of ordinary WR routes and I don't think I want Ebner trying to keep up with him on a post 30 yards downfield.

I wish throwing a fit begging for a penalty was a penalty. It happens every play.

When thinking about who BB would rather face in the playoffs, I think all you need to do is look to the Patriots last however many playoff losses. When the Pats lose, they don't lose because their opponents offenses lit them up, they lose because Brady and the offense don't have their usual game, typically because they run into a defense that can get pressure on Brady up the middle. The losses to the Giants, Denver, etc., weren't on our defense, they were on our offense.
Justin Houston isn't moving well. I don't fear their pass rush without him.

typical loltastic andy reid clock mgmt

i guess with smith's arm they could throw a hail mary to get themselves into FG range and then call time.
The planned seemed to be "see whether Tyreek Hill breaks a 75 yard TD" which is not much of a plan. And backfired.

How did KC get the second seed? They don't look much better than Houston.
