In my anger-fueled, irrational reactions to all of this, I would love the Patriots to institute an "Integrity of the Game" video for each home game that shows how the opposing team has bent, broken or ignored the rules, along with the punishment.  Maybe have a "Face of the Game" video for the second half and include all the off-field infractions that tarnish the NFL.  End it with the a rainbow-tailed star, "The More Your Know" screen.

The Steelers up first:  Tomlin's sideline adventure.  Big Ben's troubles down South, and on and on.

Let's not make enemies where enemies may not exist.

No chance you could get a substantial majority of fans to do it.  Maybe 1000 fans.   People spend a shit ton of money for tickets, they're not going to show up late or hang out in the parking lot.

Edit:  But I love a SOSH sponsored blimp idea

It might be possible to organize an "everyone turn their backs on the opening kickoff" thing.

I love the blimp idea, too

Just get season ticket holders who sit under the banner area to hold up pieces of paper that in the aggregate spell "Fuck Roger"

Don't joke, because I'll get this ball rolling.

I'm in for $500 too.

I'd like to see the team break all of their own rules and induct Brady into the Patriots Hall of Fame that night. Have an over the top ceremony, delay the game an hour, save the banner for when he's back. Also, play the first offensive snap with 10 players

Announcing a forfeit right before the first game was supposed to start would be hilarious and infuriate the league, but that's a nuclear option that would give the league a whole host of valid reasons to penalize the shit out of them. Not going to happen.

I'm not getting the comedy or the point of a forfeit. I know nobody is seriously suggesting it. But even as a joke or protest it makes no sense to me. What would be funny about it? And what point would it prove? I would hate it and Jet fans everywhere would love it.

Win the game with the backup QB playing. That would infuriate Patriot haters the most.

I could see this situation bringing out the best in Tom, both as a competitor and a teammate. I don't doubt for a second - mayyyyybe a second - that Tom will hunker down with Jimmy G and do everything in his power to stick it to Goodell, the Steelers and the rest of the league by kicking the crap out of Pittsburgh on opening night. It would be nice if we fielded a secondary, sure, but this'd be a good start.

That'll do. Whatever it is I hope is LOUD and non-stop throughout the game. There will be a large audience tuning in, including many who aren't especially inclined to watch football.
