Yeah, there's no excuse for calling it a career high, but it would explain why they'd think it was .818 this season.

This statcast thing is really good.
Perez is playing off the stats guys really well, giving the playing perspective and interpreting some of the stat numbers. The stat guy, who I have no idea, but likely hasn't done a lot of national broadcast, is handling himself well and adding good insight.

Gotta love ESPN - spend the whole half-inning talking about how there is no way Lester is coming out, cut to commercial, come back to Jon Lester getting pinch-hit for (for what it's worth I also disagree with the decision - feel like Maddon is outsmarting himself here).
If Porcello was leading off this inning instead of Lester, pulling him for a PH might not give them a better chance of tying this game up.

ok statcast people, tone it down. that was a taylor-made DP that is often a hit when hit elsewhere. nothing that the COL infield did.
