I'm a Patriots fan, always. The Niners come and go with me. I loved them during the Walsh, Montana and Young years and liked the coming of Harbaugh. Lately, I don't care if they win or lose. It's not a conscious decision thing, just a feeling. Same with the SF Giants.RIrooter09 said:
As a Niners fan aren't you rooting for a possible home game next week?
he isn't their best WR, and no, certainly not on 3rd down.Domer said:Isn't fifteen yards worth having the other's team best receiver spend the rest of the day in a dark quiet room?
Deathofthebambino said:Not only do you not do it on third down, you don't do it on the first series of the game when it puts Seattle in field goal range, keeps all the momentum on their side, and more importantly, keeps the fans going crazy. The Seahawks have won all year long without Harvin. Losing him basically means nothing, IMO. Giving up points and keeping the fans going insane is way, way more important.
Deathofthebambino said:Ed, I'm not saying there is a 'better' alternative to what he did, nor do I necessarily like the rule, but the impetus is on the defender to not hit the guy in the head. Whether it means going at the knees, pulling up or simply trying to slow up and wrap up with your arms, you cannot go in there hunting like you used to, and you have to know that in that situation.

No dog in this hunt, but keep the close, exciting games going.
It's also not true:The Napkin said:How do you get to 22 points allowed? That's what he said, right? 22 first quarter points all year with no TDs?

Ahh, okay. Makes sense. And yeah, they allowed 22 points in the first quarter this yearThePrideofShiner said:
Pretty sure it is no touchdowns on opening drives this season.

@JeneBramel
Concussion evaluations designed to take 15 minutes. Harvin back in 10. He is at least third player in playoffs to push limits of protocol.
@JeneBramel
For the record, I’m not saying Harvin suffered a concussion. Suspicion obv was identified. But locker room cognitive tests take > 8-10 mins.
