So much love for our team tonight. Amazing effort on the defensive end.

After Game 1, everyone said it'll be a sweep.

We took some knockout blows tonight and survived. They started off on a huge 12-0 run. The 3rd quarter/Steph supernova came as expected and we survived that as well.

We will probably still lose this, and we might even lose the next 2, but god damn, that was fun.

clock deosnt start until it's touched. but yea, with .5 seconds, it's gotta take at least .2 to grab it and call a T
yeah, but if you miss it hard off the rim all it takes is one of your guys being able to get a finger on it and tip it up and it's game over

They would have to catch the rebound, and call timeout though. If there is even a tip on the rebound, time runs out. Even with a clean catch, a couple tenths would have come off. I'm missing there.
Yeah, you miss there and it's game over.

Houston's collective sphintcer must've been in it's throat for that Curry miss. Wild game.

Golden State held to 12 4th quarter points. They choked and are now in a death match to get to the Finals.

Sorry guys it is actually back to not being a series yet. The two road wins cancel each other out and it won't be a series again unless another road team wins.

I can imagine that was entertaining as hell for a Rockets fan. Harden yamming on Green, Green getting stuffed by the rim, surviving the third quarter blitz. Intense, physical game. Fun stuff for a semi-neutral observer.

Ariza: 41
Tucker: 44
Paul: 42
Harden: 43

Curry: 39
Durant: 43
Green: 45
Klay: 39

Brad, I know you played Jaylen, Tatum, Horford and Rozier each 38+ minutes in the last game, but it's still not enough, which is why we're getting buried at the end of each quarter. At this time of year, this is what your starters need to be playing in terms of minutes. These teams both have better and deeper benches than the C's, but D'Antoni and Kerr are still riding with their studs. We need to do the same thing.

What a great game. Big storms here which prevented me from watching the game on Directv. For some reason I could watch the Sox game on NESN but TNT was dead. So I made the decision to run out to a neighborhood bar and catch the second half and boy am I glad I did.

Turned a 70-82 deficit into a 91-86 lead that they were able to hold onto. Damndest thing I ever saw, given the setting and opposition. Worthy of 2008 Finals Game 4.

Kerr fucked up not calling a TO once Klay was trapped.
Yea. I understand not calling one to not let the defense get set. But once your offense has resulted in a corner, double team, contested deep two - better off calling the timeout and setting something up. Would have been maybe 3.5 seconds on the clock if he was quick to recognize?

Ugh. I secretly wanted one game where they had a shot to win on the final possession. I just wanted them to do it Houston. And I wanted them to make the shot. Bleh.

Props to the Rockets, who played fantastic D in the 4th and mucked it up the way you have to against the Warriors. Seems like a coin-flip series now. Nothing easy!!!

Re-watching the possession, with about four seconds to go Draymond is standing at the top of the key and makes the TO motion, but it's pretty quick and he isn't like, running up to the ref to call TO. I can't see what Kerr is doing; all I know is that after the missed shot he is shown motioning GS to push the ball up the court and play it out. I agree with Moops that Kerr should have been running onto the court to get it.

Tucker had a great game; dogging it out and grabbing 15 boards; Houston's hustle was a big factor in their fourth quarter rally; they just outworked Golden State.

Props to Houston - as Kliq and others noted, they played harder down the stretch and it won them the game.

And for as much grief as he gets from pundits and NBA fans alike, D'Antoni (with a "D") coached a great game. He put his team in position to win and had them covering the Warriors shooters at the expense of getting burned by someone like Green or Looney or Bell. They blitzed Curry and didn't give Durant much space - they also induced his worst tendency which is to shoot off balance shots, especially early in the clock. He was one of five from deep which is a great outcome for the Rockets. Thompson's injury and his overall tentativeness also hurt Golden State. They need to get him going again to get through this series.

Finally, for as amazing as some of the shooting was, especially in the third quarter, the deep bricks in the fourth really brought down both teams 3p%. The Rockets finished at a Smartian 31.6% from deep (12-38) while the Warriors were only slightly better at 33.3% (9-27) and those nine makes were mostly the result of Curry's human torch mode in the third. As such, I wonder if this series will be won by the team that is more effective at getting points inside the arc.

On the flipside, Curry's legs were gone at the end there. I don't think he misses those looks otherwise.

Draymond definitely makes a motion, but all the refs are looking at the play, and not at him 35 feet from the basket. He was close enough to one ref, where he could have ran over and probably got one with 3 seconds to go.

Maybe yell it out and then try to get in rebounding position?

Watching the Warriors choke away Game 4 was so enjoyable. Houston ground out a win with their veteran role players stepping up. Gordon banged a huge three with 2:25 left after going 0-7 deep. Ariza made a huge corner three. Tucker played solid defense and rebounded his ass off. Capela defended smalls in space and also hit the boards.

I'd like to see how GS handles real adversary. Hopefully, Houston will shoot like crazy in Game 5, and get their third win.

So if the Cavaliers and Warriors each fail to win a road playoff game over their final two attempts we are in line for a Boston vs Houston Finals?

I don't want to say "Why Not Us".........but Why the F not US???

For all of the talk about Houston being an ISO team; I thought Golden State's shot selection down the stretch was poor. It was a lot of Curry and Durant going one-on-one and taking tough shots; some of which missed badly. Houston on the other hand, was moving the ball, working the pick and roll and attacking the basket.

Before each series began, I would have been happy to see the Celtics and Rockets sitting at 2-2 with home court advantage. And here we are. I respect the hell out of LeBron and the Warriors but I'm bored as shit with their matchup. Boston and Houston would be a great series and I really hope it happens, for obvious reasons.

HOU defense forced this on them. With the complete switching of every single pick, GSW really had no choice. They need to stop being so stubborn and embrace their ISO play. Credit to HOU for forcing them into that though

I still think the Warriors win this series, but if this thing goes seven and Houston has home court, well...

If you’re like me and you think the Cavs will beat the C’s, Lebron has to to be thrilled with what he’s seeing out west. Cleveland has a much better shot against Houston than Golden State.

Going into the playoffs, there is no way I would have been disappointed with an ECF, but if the Rockets win the west... I'd be kinda disappointed. I think the C's would be a coin flip away from number 18.

Every quarter was a blowout on the same basket. It's like one hoop had a forcefield and the other had gravitational pull.
Teams don't change baskets each quarter, only at half, so Houston was blown out going same way in 1st quarter that they then blew out the GSW in the 2nd.
