I ended up at Game 2 and can't go to Game 5, but Game 5 tix have gone up A LOT. Anyone who got them early made the right call.

The seats I got for game 2 are more than 2x higher for Game 5.

I hope that doesn't mean the crowd will suck....

I was watching the fourth-quarter with a buddy who said another of our friends might pressure him into going to game five. Pulled up the Ticketmaster listing and the cheapest balcony was 1600 before fees. However, some sap who was crying in his beer, most likely, still had a pair of loge 9 for 1200. My buddy no longer felt any pressure lol.

In late March of 2022, I attended my second game with the whole family (wife and 2 daughters) in the sports deck courtesy of @tonyandpals. After two vodka tonics , my wife remarked that we should go to more games. I said that we could get on the season ticket waiting list for $100 a seat. She said we should do it and I immediately cut off conversation. The next morning at work, I got on the waiting list thinking I would get a call within a year or two. Three days later, I got a call not only for seats the following year but full playoffs starting in two weeks. We settled on a pair and have been, in some capacity, to 80% of the last three playoff runs and 50% of the regular season games, despite living 2 hours from Boston.

Every game is a treat because I get to spend the entire drive down having a one on one conversation with one of my favorite people, including the 13-year-old who doesn’t have much time for me otherwise (whoever I’m with usually sleeps the whole way home).

I got to attend game six against Golden State and game seven against Miami last year, but I also got to see several closeouts and got to hear about Brooklyn game one and Philly game seven from my wife and daughter. After last night I was prepared to draw straws, but my wife told me this morning that I should go. I had some friends today, begging me to list them for an absurd number, but I can’t think of anything more exciting than heading down Monday night with whichever kid wins the coin flip.

LFG.

That's awesome.

As Kevin Costner in Field of Dreams would say...."Don't sell"

Is it possible to let both kids attend while you watch from some nearby bar? You get time with both kids and they both get to go to the game.

I already called in favors for game one tix, and I’m abandoning the fam next weekend for my annual bacchanal with my frat buddies, so I can’t make game 5 happen, but if it is within your means and abilities to go, then go. This was my first NBA Finals experience, no guarantee I’ll ever get another, and assuming the Cs win one of the next three games, will always be something I treasure more than the cost of tickets/travel. Glad you get to experience this with your kids, @Bunt4aTriple. I can’t seem to get mine into hoops…or anything other than football.

They’ve apparently added standing room at the back row bar now.
Looks like even cheap ass Ale Xander is going tonight (reserved seat though)
As of right now there are tons of resale seats available.

Celtics having trouble selling their last 30 tickets (sections 323-4)
Been lowering them around $100 every couple of hours
Down to $$1585 or so
I don’t think casual fans know the difference in fees between those and the resale ones

@tonyandpals, I'm keeping my eye open for a single tonight if I can get the price down to $1200 all in ($1000 would be ideal, but perhaps unrealistic). The cheapest single I'm seeing is 309 row 15 for $1305 before TM fees, $1326 after. Any idea what your fee pricing looks like today?

Sent you a PM. Cheapest I can get as of now is just under 1400. But they're popping up in the 1300 range all in now.

Remember that the standard box office tickets have very low fees, not the 20%+ that resale have on tm

Same here, getting more confident I can get a single in the 1200 range

Unbelievable. My 13 year old, whose world ended yesterday when she lost the coin flip to her sister, instead said she'd rather go to her first HS summer basketball session (she's also very superstitious and knows she's got a guaranteed seat for a potential game 7). Thanks to all who helped track prices. Easiest $1200 I ever made!

1) Don't you have the power to change this
2) There will be no Game 7. Why is she so negative?

Do you think this trend bodes well or poorly for prices dipping further? I am also trying to pull a single for tonight.
Just think how many are there in the same boat?

Easier to make plans (freedom etc.) as a single person.

Also in most games I have been watching as a hobby, singles more expensive than pairs, and sometimes like 2x late.

I gotta head to practice so if anyone else reaches out and I don't respond, you know why. Pleasure doing business with y'all this post season. Hopefully that's the last of it...

RIP to her ever living that one down.

When I was 16, my dad took my younger brother and sister to see a total solar eclipse, in Europe. When he asked if I wanted to go, though, I was stupid and thought "that sounds like a pain in the ass, and a lot of money to have them spend on me... I'll just hang out here and enjoy my summer" and I declined. The three of them had the absolute best time, just romping around a couple awesome cities for a week and then somehow getting a cloudless moment to see the big event. Why didn't I go? Because I was 16 and stupid. I still get crap from them for it.

Your 13yo may have just topped that, in terms of refusing an all-time moment and making a great memory for herself. She'll need a cover story like Robin Williams' from Good Will Hunting.

She now has dibs with her mother on every potential home closeout for as long as it takes.

Just want to say a huge thank you to @tonyandpals for working with me to get tickets to last Friday's game in Dallas. It was a pleasure and I hope you don't mind if I bug you again next spring!

Game did not turn out as we had hoped but it was a great weekend - caught the game with a friend from kindergarten who has been through it life-wise the last few years. Really, really special experience and Tony made sure we had an extra few hundred bucks for BBQ and late-night sorrow-drowning.

Glad to work with you all. Easily saved sosh thousands in fees on this one!
Hit me up any time, any event! It's not always going to be triple digit savings as the fees are relative, but every little bit helps.
