I just hope he doesn’t get hurt. That’s all I care about. My expectations are pretty low for Jaylen. He's a game dunker (the strength to finish through contact isn't at all useful in this setting), I've never thought of him as the kind to float through the air with really fancy moves. I'm just hoping he's not embarrassed, Birdman style.
It's weird that it basically seemed to be a bunch of guys trying not to try too hard in the first round. My favorite moment from round 1 of the skills comp (other than Wemby trying and playing well) was Barnes dribbling the ball off his foot. Dude does not belong there.
Absolutely impossible to follow. The only good thing about it was that it was over fast. This event is horrible lol
My 15 year old agrees. I’ll hang on for a while longer but it’s almost time to start a movie. This event is horrible lol
This court terrifies me.I just hope he doesn’t get hurt. That’s all I care about.
Unlike the dunk contest, they actually do get star power for this event. 6 all-stars (including 2 AS starters), only one of these guys isn't considered a star, and he's a full-time starter who is 7th in 3P% and 11th in 3PM. Kind of funny to compare the caliber of players here vs the dunk contest.Kinda sad no PP for this.
It hurts my eyes. These events are whatever but I will be surprised if LED courts aren't used more widely going forward. They are pretty nifty.
Just tuning and seeing the court like this for the first time, for events like tonight I think it's a really cool addition. For regular season games all I can imagine is every inch of the court covered in ads, akin to popup computer spam back in the day. Or a team like the Heat will make it nauseating with a ton of noise. Maybe in the playoffs if the NBA/broadcaster can control themThese events are whatever but I will be surprised if LED courts aren't used more widely going forward. They are pretty nifty.
“Make her shoot with a man’s ball,” and a few other similar things.Missed this, what’d he say?
Man, I wish she had won.“Make her shoot with a man’s ball,” and a few other similar things.
”There’s a woman’s tee in golf and there’s a men’s tee…for a reason!”
Such a stupid point. People act like the difference in basketball size actually matters other than you’re going to be better with the one you always practice with. If Steph played his whole life with a WNBA ball, he’d be better with one too. If Sabrina played her whole life with an NBA ball, she’d be better with one“Make her shoot with a man’s ball,” and a few other similar things.
”There’s a woman’s tee in golf and there’s a men’s tee…for a reason!”
I root against the Warriors but I love Steph and his support for women’s basketball. And Sabrina absolutely showed out, I’m so happy she did well even if I’d hoped she wonGood job by Steph and Sabrina. Normalize and build both platforms. Looking forward to Caitlin vs Steph or Lillard next year.
Reddick has some takes of his own, so not sure that would reduce tension.TNT needs to replace Kenny with Parker (or steal Redick from ESPN)
