Is that allowed? Cash/PTBNL being based on the player's performance?

And if I ever see a shirtless Mujica holding what appears to be a lifeless infant again, it'll be too soon.

I think you can do it based on stuff like appearances, games finished, etc., but not markers like ERA, saves or wins.

Isn't that only a restriction on compensation of a player by a team under the CBA?  Why can't the Red Sox and A's agree to shuffle money on whatever basis they choose?  What restricts them?
