I moved to Seattle in early Fall of 1983 to start college because it was pretty much the furthest location on the map from RI. I wasn't making it as a commercial fisherman and needed a reboot after languishing post high school. I loved it out there and Seattle was exactly the right move for me.

The Red Sox could use a reboot after this crazy weekend of heartbreak. I think tonight's game versus Seattle will jumpstart the beantown boys and steady the ship. Tannah is on the mound tonight and faces a kid named Kirby who is on a run having won 4 of his last 5 games and hasn't pitched less than 6 inings per start in over a month. Kirby grew up in Rye, NY so most likely a Yankee fan so I hate him already.

Sox win a close one and Tannah shines

My first concert when I moved to Seattle included the Violent Femmes who were just getting started. I saw Soundgarden there as well and countless local grundge acts

Let Tannah go out like a Blistah in the Sun!!!!

Game 42
The Celtics won big Sunday afternoon.
The collective joy of Boston fans soon
took a quite painful (but not fatal) blow
as the Red Sox dropped their third in a row.
Swept by St. Louis - a team in last place!
9 to 1 felt like a slap in the face.
Let’s hope the BoSox turn the other cheek,
and battle Seattle better this week.
Pitching’s key in this quest for a banner.
Is Kenley cooked? Can we count on Tanner?
With Tilt DFA’d, should we send Kluber
out of town, too? (I’ll pay for the Uber.)
Once the team settles the starters and pen,
we’ll get relief and start winning again.
Tonight, like the Celts, defend the home turf.
Let’s send the Mariners back to the surf.

Wait, what happened? I was only gone a minute, it looked like first and second no outs. Why the commercial?

Devers has been low-key disappointing this year. It's not that he's played poorly, but he hasn't taken a step forward to become that .900 - 1.000 OPS type guy he seems like he could be.

Two observations:

1. They hit Tanner a bit harder in the 4th. But at people
2. Two Wongs are batting ninth. Doesn’t make it right.
