Who had Royce Lewis leaving with an injury in the third inning of game one on their bingo card?

Sadly, Houston is one of the five MLB cities that I am blacked out of, and I don't feel like dealing with the VPN today.
Normally I find the Big Inning broadcast obnoxious but on opening day when we have to wait forever for the Sox game, mainlining maximum baseball content feels nice.

Just discovered I get it on Fubo, so that's nice. Looks like I get the other regional channels, too. Almost makes it worth the ridiculous amount it costs

Buster Olney said yesterday that after talking with executives around the league he thinks the big name that could be traded this year is Bo Bichette.

Logan Webb doing Logan Webb things through 4 against the Padres. Is there a less talked about superstar pitcher in the league?

Learned in the Giants-Pads game that the baseline, (which if you run outside of it, you’re out) has been expanded this year for some reason. Kruk and Kuip had no reason why the baseline was widened.

There were a few obnoxious calls last year where guys were called out running straight to first cause they were inside it, so I think they expanded it a bit in response.

That is not exactly true. They expanded the zone of the baseline that runners from home to first are allowed to be in for the purposes of obstruction, allowing hitters (specifically right handed hitters) more ability to run straight from their completed swing to the bag. Batters used to have to be outside the foul line to avoid obstruction calls, but now it is a little bit more lenient to allow them to run straight to the bag.

Tatis Junior goes from 1st to 3rd on the first out of the inning on a swinging bunt on which the runner is thrown out at first by Webb.

Edit, but he didn’t score.

Opening day, when even the Pirates/Marlins straggler matchup feels compelling. Bottom 11 now.

Hey, remember that time the Pirates lit the world on fire entirely at our expense last April?

ESPN open with William H. Macy narrating was great. Crazy how those words can give me chills and make it a bit dusty after a long, long winter.

Pirates win somehow despite making outs at the plate in 3 consecutive extra innings.

Cubs vs Rangers is a spectacular display of the sport. Great defense, two great pitchers, two really deep lineups. Great series to start the season with.
