I liked the fight in the last two innings, let's see if tonight we can bring that all nine innings.
We need to win. We've lost 12 of the last 19, and now are in last place in the AL East, four games behind the Astros and Yankees in the race for the final wild card spot.
It's starting to slip away, and this next week is really important, despite the calendar not even hitting June till tomorrow.

Annoyingly they landed in Anaheim after taking 2/3 on the road and sandwiched that sweep between another 2/3 on the road.
They keep teasing then, either Cora makes some real dumb decisions or there’s a plethora of dumbass plays or some crap pitching (or all 3) and an offensive swoon and they fall back again.

A big Boston comeback came up just short.
Down 8 to nothing, the Sox made a run.
We plated 8 late, but still fell by 1.
What caused the loss? Some questionable calls?
Baserunning blunders? Bad routes on fly balls?
Cora's decisions? Relief-pitcher woes?
Our failed double plays? Our shortstop's bad throws?
The ducks on the pond? The terrible send?
It seems they all played a role in the end.
T'was pitching, hitting, and fielding combined.
A total team effort. (Just the wrong kind.)
Hope the late inning surge can inspire
the team to ignite, so we catch fire,
torch Cincinnati with our bats ablaze,
and get red hot when we welcome the Rays.

I tuned out and didn't see the Sox scoring, but I wondered if what was really going on was the Sox hitting some bad pitching, and maybe that bad relief pitching accounts for the Reds' losing record.

I don't know how much these are going to make sense years from now (and I hope they will be around years from now), but in the moment these are just absolutely spot-on.
Seriously! If only the Sox could do as consistently impressive and entertaining as what LynnRice75 does.
I don't know what's going to happen tonight, but I have a feeling that this team is going to get better and better as the season goes along.
I'm skeptical. They have some good young players, but they are not really a complete team. Steer looks like he could be a keeper, though. The good news is that the division is not that good. The Brewers are in first place with a 28-26 record. 85 wins could actually be enough.

For a minute, thought this was Jered Weaver and was shocked he was still around, and had never faced the Sox.

I felt like Maile always hits against us, but not so. He does have 4 of his 16 career HRs against the Sox, though.
Were they all back when he was in the division? Because he's had 6 recently so that would mean at one point he would have had 40 percent of his HRs against us.
