MIA cannot trade Bam to BRK so long as Ben Simmons is there, because of the Designated Rookie Extension rule, per Bobby Marks. What assets does Miami have that would be attractive to the Nets? Their draft picks are always lousy, Lowry is washed, Herro is a sixth man, and I doubt they're moving Bam or Jimmy for KD.
Nothing like being terrible and not having the accompanying lottery picks.Rockets fans are going crazy because of all the Nets pick and swaps they have, but Kyrie-Curry-Bridges-Simmons-Ayton feels like a workable starting 5.

You have a good chance of winning the title right now while still having a future! The Celtics were a bad fourth quarter away from being up 3-1 in the NBA Finals just two weeks ago!You don’t worry about the future if you can pair Tatum and Durant together. You’re gearing up for an incredible 3-4 year run where you have a good chance of winning a title.
Guys, this is a disaster. Brooklyn has no size. Brooklyn has no depth off the bench. To make up for all of that they need to have their three stars to be locked in and working extremely hard to contend. This is not the Heatles, it isn't the Warriors, it's not LeBron on the Lakers. It's Durant, a prickly personality who has been frustrated when he was in good situations, Harden, who has never come up big in the playoffs, is at least 20lbs overweight and just shot his way out of Houston, and KYRIE, who as we speak is AWOL from the team and apparently already mad at Durant and didn't want Nash to coach the team. Nobody has to worry about these guys.
That's a very interesting proposal. If you're NOLA, do you put Zion in a deal for KD? I would - might be the best single asset they could get back
Miami definitely moves Bam and probably Herro, too. What assets does Miami have that would be attractive to the Nets? Their draft picks are always lousy, Lowry is washed, Herro is a sixth man, and I doubt they're moving Bam or Jimmy for KD.
They would if they could, I suppose.MIA cannot trade Bam to BRK so long as Ben Simmons is there, because of the Designated Rookie Extension rule, per Bobby Marks.
Nets can’t take Bam in the trade unless they also move Simmons because they both have Rose Rule extensions. What assets does Miami have that would be attractive to the Nets? Their draft picks are always lousy, Lowry is washed, Herro is a sixth man, and I doubt they're moving Bam or Jimmy for KD.
Jaylen is only signed for 2 more years. There is exposure there. And if you replaced Jaylen with Durant this year, you are planning Green 19 right now.You have a good chance of winning the title right now while still having a future! The Celtics were a bad fourth quarter away from being up 3-1 in the NBA Finals just two weeks ago!
It would have to be a bet against the Heat post Riley, KD and Jimmy. Lowry would be in the deal as salary filler. Herro, Strus and all the picks as the assets? The Suns can definitely beat it.What assets does Miami have that would be attractive to the Nets? Their draft picks are always lousy, Lowry is washed, Herro is a sixth man, and I doubt they're moving Bam or Jimmy for KD.
agreedWow. Anywhere but Miami. I can’t handle another smug Reilly press conference. I’d prefer if he took his talents to the Western Conference.

Who is the wrong bridges?
Good point. Just woke up from a nap and brain hasn't quite rebooted fully yet.The one who was arrested and possibly going to jail?
I'm going to take a guess that it's less that Durant doesn't want to play with Kyrie as much as the Nets refusing to offer Kyrie the max extension. This is going to do wonders for his legacy after joining GSW. Now he’s running away from the team he assembled.
And Kyrie is so toxic that even his friend wants out now.
I agree with this. You don’t worry about the future if you can pair Tatum and Durant together. You’re gearing up for an incredible 3-4 year run where you have a good chance of winning a title.
And a Middleton-injury away from losing in the second round...You have a good chance of winning the title right now while still having a future! The Celtics were a bad fourth quarter away from being up 3-1 in the NBA Finals just two weeks ago!
Eh. The league is kind of moving past Durant, who is aging out of his prime and was not good in the playoffs this year. I think the gap between Jaylen + future assets vs Durant now is not as big as maybe some other people think; and the Celtics will be a much more enjoyable success if they win with Jaylen and Tatum. I also don't know if Durant/Tatum is as dynamic of a pairing as people will think; seems like they'd squabble over being the alpha.Jaylen is only signed for 2 more years. There is exposure there. And if you replaced Jaylen with Durant this year, you are planning Green 19 right now.
Durant is significantly better than Jaylen on both sides of the ball. It would be a no brainer, IMO. He and Tatum would be absolutely lethal.
He's an expiring, so he may have some valueA PHX deal is almost certainly based around a maxed out Ayton and Bridges. I think the appeal to Ayton is he's getting maxed and he's going to a nice big market. Plus Kyrie might get shipped out.
Yeah this to me is a case of knowing Kyrie is gone after the year and not wanting to waste a seasonI'm going to take a guess that it's less that Durant doesn't want to play with Kyrie as much as the Nets refusing to offer Kyrie the max extension.
It's a dry heat.Pass on Durant for Boston. I don't even mind his weirdo persona but that window (which should have happened years ago) is closed. Add more pieces to the Jays.
I do think Durant to Phoenix makes sense. The physical trainers there will be good for him as well.
Fanspo is wrong here. They have the 2028 as a pick but it's a swap. The Celtics can offer 2023/2025/2027 and both 2024/2026 swaps. Grant and PP probably are part of the best possible deal but the Celtics would probably use Theis instead. Don't see how many other teams beat Jaylen in the offer anyways.Only two firsts available due to the SA trade.
probably not enough... also I doubt they want Graham. How about a Durant trade with NO for Brandon Ingram, Devonte Graham and two firsts?
It's very difficult to envision a dollar match in a Zion-Durant deal. Zion only makes $13.5mm, while Ingram makes $31.6mm.If I were the Pelicans I'd offer Zion for him.
But I've been low man on zion all along...
Yeah but that trade drops the Pelican's BMI by like 50 points. It's very difficult to envision a dollar match in a Zion-Durant deal. Zion only makes $13.5mm, while Ingram makes $31.6mm.
Content-free post, but this is freaking hilarious to me.MIA cannot trade Bam to BRK so long as Ben Simmons is there, because of the Designated Rookie Extension rule, per Bobby Marks.
I wouldn't do that as Brooklyn, but I'm not a believer in Zion's longterm (or shortterm) health. If you're NOLA, do you put Zion in a deal for KD? I would - might be the best single asset they could get back
I think the moment that ended the Nets was Harden wanting out leading to the Simmons trade.
"Sacramento Kings are on line one..."I cannot wait to see what team says "I think we should leverage our entire future to trade for two yahoos who just ran a franchise into the ground and got swept in the first round."

Hmm... Mike Brown coached Kyrie for a year in CLE and KD while he was in Golden State..."Sacramento Kings are on line one..."
