Just started to see ads here today

Yeah, I had google adds start interrupting my white noise app at about 3AM last night. Frustrating.
If it's helpful to diagnose, it seems to come up when you first choose a forum after entering the site. I first noticed it this morning on my phone, and then later on my laptop, but only on the first click of a forum link.
Disagree - not just any forum, but rather any initial action on the site, such as looking at alerts, or viewing new posts. I am being presented with an ad on any initial action on the site. Then, none after.
Same, happening on any sort of click with a thread or notification. Maybe 1 out of 10 clicks? Odd.
For what it is worth, I've gotten them on other websites I haven't normally gotten them on. Surprised Ad Blocker isn't taking care of them.
They've made visiting on my iPhone impossible. Every click is a full screen popup without an X to close.
They are coming hot and heavy today. But you can dismiss the ad with the escape button, if you're using a computer.
I would say that I have experienced this 6-8 times between yesterday and today. Spectrum ad each time but one. The other was an ED ad with what I think was an avocado on it. No it wasn't an eggplant.

I thought OP was talking about normal ads, which I’ve seen for awhile, but I also started getting pop ups on my phone last night and this morning. Only every once in a while.
It's google. I fortunately don't have to go in there as much as I used to but I made some changes to the settings this morning that I hope will work. Those evil pieces of crap constantly change definitions of how things work without giving us the opportunity to opt-in or opt-out. There was some new "intersite popup" crap that I had never seen before.
Please, please everyone use the Brave browser and duckduckgo. Google is a very, very bad entity that is not acting in our best interests. I'll kill their ads once I get a chance to determine an alternative.

If by "change settings" you mean turning off ad personalization, it doesn't work. I can undoubtedly attest to that.
iPad, with a bookmark to the index.php page: if I click on any of the newest threads on the right side of the page, I get a pop-up. Started ~3 days ago.

I just got an ad for a product that purports to keep my asshole cleaner, with a cartoon graphic depicting a guy itching his asshole through his paints.

I haven’t seen any ads on my iPhone. I’m using Safari with 1Blocker, so that may be an option for some of you.
Same here. I've been getting ads like you are, not like RIrooter and steeplechase. I'm also on Google Chrome.
Or at least I have been for the past few days through this afternoon. I haven't seen any tonight, so maybe they've been taken care of.
Yeah, I've been getting them for a little over a week now. Worst of it for me is that I try to click the X in the upper right corner and the ad doesn't disappear.

Also getting interstitials and I’m being perpetually hit by google One Israel adds now onSOSH. which I think are the Jews for Jesus people. I’ve down selected it 5 times and still see only those adds here.
