This is perfectic.Series 30: A’s vs SOX
I wanted three. (I’m not apologetic),
but beating the Yankees was copasetic.
I thought we’d be good. (Though I’m not prophetic.)
but early on, it was just “Call the medic!”
So many injured. (Perhaps it’s genetic?)
Team doctors ran out of all anesthetic.
Mediocre at first (but not pathetic)
and lacking infielders who were balletic,
our favorite team could have become frenetic,
but instead, they chose something more poetic:
The Sox made some changes (not just cosmetic):
unleashing star players who are magnetic
and adopting a style that is kinetic.
It’s true hope and real fun. (far from synthetic.)
We enjoy winning. It’s our new aesthetic.
Earn A’s. Outplay Oakland. We’re more athletic.
I need this over a beat or instrumental of some kind, that rhyming is beautifully doneSeries 30: A’s vs SOX

Estes is a rookie, and looking at his game log it’s pretty 50/50 whether hell toss a gem or just implode. My money is on the latterJoey Estes threw a ‘Maddux’ in his last start (complete game shutout on fewer than 100 pitches), but he’s been awful on the road this season.
Going to be hot and muggy all week in Boston. Good home run hitting weather against a staff that gives up a lot of them away from Oakland.
Apologies if this was expected or covered, but why was Valdez sent down? Did the team just want an additional first baseman and sent him down for Jamie? I expected Valdez to last until Grissom returned@PeteAbe
Bunch of roster moves by the Sox today:
* Jamie Westbrook recalled
* RHP Trey Wingenter selected.
* Enmanuel Valdez optioned
* Naoyuki Uwasawa DFA'd to create a 40-man spot for Wingenter.
* (Cam Booser was optioned yesterday.)
Westbrook has played multiple positions, including secondApologies if this was expected or covered, but why was Valdez sent down? Did the team just want an additional first baseman and sent him down for Jamie? I expected Valdez to last until Grissom returned
After tonight, they're scheduled to face 3 LH starters in a row. Valdez and Hamilton were a bit redundant.Westbrook has played multiple positions, including second
And he hits right handed. Seems to me Hamilton has solidified himself.Westbrook has played multiple positions, including second
Yup, this too. So against the LHP coming up, they can start 3 LHH and 6 RHH.And he hits right handed. Seems to me Hamilton has solidified himself.
Thanks, good to know. I knew of him as the 5’7 first baseman, didn’t know he played elsewhereWestbrook has played multiple positions, including second
And his .973 OPS since the start of June didn't save him?Looks like that shaky defensive weekend got Valdez sent down.
This is just insanely goodSeries 30: A’s vs SOX

Never trust a man that doesn't wear a hat.I really like Youkilis, but a hat in July? Come on, we all know you're bald, and we still like you.
