Hey! Long time lurker, first post ever.

Likely (haven’t bought ticket yet but looks like there’s plenty) going to game tonight. Transplant from east coast so let me know if you’ll be at park too!

A four-game streak. We’re cookin’ with Crisco.
We’ve traveled out West. I’d be remiss though,
if I didn’t say we don’t fear this foe.
Losing’s no fun but winning is bliss. Oh,
I’d love to see these fans boo and hiss, so
let’s get more hits than BeeGees gone disco.
Let’s slay the giants in San Francisco.

Love this lineup and as long as Turner can play acceptable defense at second base I’d like to see this at least 3 times a week.
Yup. This has to be the best lineup this team has right now. And as azsoxpatsfan said, it becomes a monster lineup when you add in Story.

You obviously could slot Story in a few different spots, but I would like to see this lineup - especially as Story eases his way back.

Jarren Duran (L) LF
Masataka Yoshida (L) DH
Justin Turner (R) 2B
Rafael Devers (L) 3B
Adam Duvall (R) CF
Triston Casas (L) 1B
Trevor Story (R) SS
Alex Verdugo (L) RF
Connor Wong (R) C

I’d like to see Story and Duvall flipped once Story shakes off the rust. Other than that it’s perfect

Yeah, that was the one option I was thinking about as well. I'd agree with you, once the rust is gone I'd like to see em swapped too.

Why do they have to play this game anyway. Giants don’t want the humiliation. Just because they sold tickets? It’s just dumb. When will the Red Sox be given some real competition!?

I was at that game!
I was at that one too. Price - Bumgarner, I think the Sox lost 2-1. I always see the Sox when they are in Oakland, but would much rather go to Oracle Park than the Coliseum. I'm going to see the Saturday and Sunday games in this series. Look for me in my Eckersley Red Sox jersey and 70s cap 10 rows behind the visitor's dugout Sunday.

We just missed each other, I’m going tonight only. Well, at least we both get to see Casas bombs.

Hopefully Casas bombs and Devers bombs and Duvall bombs and Yoshida bombs and maybe even Chang bombs!
Cheers to that. Headed to the Connecticut Yankee now for a little pregame. For those who haven’t visited the Bay, it’s a Boston sports bar in San Francisco and it’s wicked awesome.

I'm conflicted on a couple of tonight's games. NYY @ Bal (hideous City Connect unis on the birdmen) and LAA @ Tor. If we're going to win anyway, might as well cheer for the teams behind us.

Fake update: I see the Jays already won. I guess Ohtani can't toss a shutout or hit 2 HRs every game. Trout due back mid-Aug by the way.

The Angels PH for Ohtani with the bases loaded in the 9th. Wonder if it was more than cramps yesterday.

Right Here
who is the guy on the left with the funky hair?
I was watching a clip from Mr. Baseball with Tom Selleck the other day. The movie had a bit where the interpreter totally made up Tom Selleck's character's responses. Kind of wish we had someone who spoke Japanese here to let us know if that's happening here.

Tom Caron: Who has helped you the most on this Sox team is assimilating to Western Culture?

Interpreter: (In Japanese): Who has helped you the most on this Sox team is assimilating to Western Culture?

Tanaka: (In Japanese): Verdugo took me to a strip bar and I met a stripper named Aura who could tie cherry stems with her tongue.

Interpreter: (In English): All the veteran players have helped me equally to learn and appreciate American culture while still retaining my Japanese identity.
