Tony LaRussa would wait until he had two strikes on him.The HR today was with MIN up 3-0 and Judge leading off the inning, no one is going to IBB anyone in that situation.

Shocked they didn’t start walking him after the first 57 homers. That's a hell of a day.
Yeah, it really was. That might have been the fattest pitch Judge has seen all year. What an awful pitch.
I think his price was probably set 2 months ago and all he needed to do was stay healthy and consistent. The MVP and breaking the record probably doesn't change much IMO. It's not like he went from $350m to $450m. I think.Totally grooved and the reaction was over the top.
They don't have many holes to fill, at least how it looks now. They have kept all their position player prospects so they should have a lot of cheap talent to fill in around their big salary guys over the next year or two.It will be very difficult to know how or where to spend free agent capital.
Hopefully he hits zero for the rest of the year.Hopefully he hits two tomorrow.
I'm a Yankees fan and no, Bonds is the home run king unless someone hits 74.Have opinions changed at all?
If he hits 62 (in 154), in your heart of hearts, will you consider him the true (clean) single season home run king?
Nope, partially because of what @Kenny F'ing Powers alluded to, but mostly because I think it's a "record" that's been ruined by the steroid eraIf he hits 62 (in 154), in your heart of hearts, will you consider him the true (clean) single season home run king?
Oh, he’s on steroids. They’re all on steroids.I know he's huge, but Richie Sexton was bigger. I'm going to be really, really bummed if this smiling, "say all the right things" monster turns into A-Roid. He's never had any suspicion of steroids, correct? Because, after the Sosa/Bonds/McGuire shit, that could be a death knell for the sport.
Wouldn't surprise anyone at all, but I do think Judge is what would happen if more of the top modern athletes with his frame focused on baseball from a young age (the ones currently going into the NBA and NFL).Oh, he’s on steroids. They’re all on steroids.
Noticed as well. Not too many A-rod specials for judgeThe crazy thing is that it seems like it's always when the Yankees need the runs. It's not like it's 15-2.
I have no problem with that. I hope he gets the flu and misses the Red Sox series entirely.Come on, that makes us no better than Brady haters.
Yep, will change. Can we change “to” to “through?”
62 looks like a formality with who’s coming this weekend.
Just really hoping he hits two tonight
Yeah, heard this today on Mad Dog Radio. Caller cited that, along with them both primarily being right fielders, and that Maris wore 9 and Judge 99Is my math wrong or did Maris hit his 61 homers 61 years ago? Spooky.
It's like in 1941 when Ted Williams came out for his first at bat on the last day of the season (a doubleheader) batting .3995, the Athletics catcher said to him "Mr Mack said we're pitching to you". Williams said "fine", of course. It's like a badge of honor or something. Of course, next week Toronto will walk Judge every time if it makes sense in winning for them. Why are teams pitching to him if the rest of the lineup sucks so bad?
I was called in front of the Fuck Judge once. I was an expert witness, like Marisa Tomei.Fuck Judge.
Yes, and I hope he gets to 74. Won’t happen, but I’d like it, even if he wears pinstripes.Have opinions changed at all?

I’m not familiar with the boom box incident, but I’d put him with Mariano Rivera where you have to go out of your way to dislike the guy, imho. The sentiment has been expressed by multiple Sox fans here, but I'm rooting for the guy. A likeable Yankee, aside from the boom box incident.
After their game 2 win in the 2018 ALDS... Sox of course went on to win both in NY en route to the titleYes, and I hope he gets to 74. Won’t happen, but I’d like it, even if he wears pinstripes.

With the Sox season as it is, I’m checking in multiple times a day on three guys. Judge, Pujols, and Vogelbach. The latter only because he’s close friends with a buddy of mine. After that, I check to see how some of the youngsters are doing around the league and, obviously, what Ohtani did.
