Miami (oh, Miami!)
As always I am grateful for this place (all corners of it) for the attentiveness and passion of the posters, and the truly excellent conversation that happens here.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I really thought this was going to be about a surprise FA signing, or at least some flight tracking.

I’m thankful, too, though.

Thankful for this place and the community of SoSHers across the world who make it special.

So, which FA pitcher is Breslow having dinner with tonight?

If Breslow isn’t spending the Thanksgiving holiday at the Yamamoto residence wooing him to the Red Sox, I question his level of commitment to this team. Thankful for all you crazies.

I am looking forward to Yamamoto showing up in the SoSH chat room about twelve hours from now so we can convince him to come to Boston.
And y'all can be thankful 20 years from now that he didn't turn into a crazy person.
Happy Thanksgiving to all. I am finally sitting down and my husband will be watching dishes till sometime next month.

Happy Thanksgiving All! We may not agree on as much as we like, but at least we agree (for the Sox fans) on our love for the Sox. For the non-Sox fans, we agree on our love for the sport!

This place is a release for me.
This place is a source on knowledge for me.
This place forces me to truly consider all sides of issues big and small.
This place has lent me insight and support during some truly pivotal moments in my life.
This place provided me with the opportunity to see the Red Sox win it all in Fenway Park in 2013.
This place makes me want to be a better person.

Thank you SoSH for being all of this and more. Happy Thanksgiving you filthy bastards!

I am thankful for all of the baseball and other things. I have learned from all of the smart posters here and the news that I would never find on my own.

I am thankful for the humor and laughs that I still enjoy from years back and more recent.
I am thankful for the community who have helped each other over the nearly two decades I’ve been on here.

I’m thankful for people like @AlNipper49 @jon abbey @BoSoxLady @CR67dream and others that I’m sure I won’t remember to name for keeping the place running, and the soul of it alive.

This place is a touchstone for me. A place that has been consistent over many years and several countries I have lived in.

I appreciate the community and the passion and the rage and the humour. Hope you all have great feasts (and may Craig Breslow land something magnificent for us this offseason).

Happy Thanksgiving.
Wish I could find that old P&G story of the guy taking kids to Plymouth Plantation, hungover, on Thanksgiving Day and his pit stop.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. SoSH has been such a daily integral part of my life as a visitor for the last 20 years or so. Finally rang the doorbell...

I live nowhere near home in a place where me and my wife got to right before COVID hit and have had a really time making any real friends. You guys are my community, and I am seriously thankful that you are willing to put up with me on a daily basis.

All of you on this Board have brought me so much knowledge, insight, laughs, and shared joy--as well as a place to turn when sports and other dimensions of life are less than great. Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports the Dodgers, Giants, Cubs, Padres, Rangers, Red Sox and Yankees have been linked to free agent two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani.

You just made my Thanksgiving! 35 years later, those now adult nieces and nephews still love telling the story of Uncle John’s pit stop in the woods behind the Hanover Mall.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Yeah, but what about Yamamoto?
I am turkeyd, stuffingd, sweet-potatod, gravied and pied out, now I need some good news, which, in addition to all the good feelings listed above, is what I come to Sosh for. Get it done, Brez! (By the way, do we know if Yamamoto is related to the famous Japanese general who was killed in 1943 thanks to American code breakers? (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isoroku_Yamamoto))

Maybe if you go back enough generations? But it's a very common name in Japan. Also Admiral Yamamoto was one of the most fascinating characters on that side of the WW2 story.
