Leicester-Liverpool the best matchup of the midweek. The fixtures are all the reverse of the Boxing Day matchups, which saw some really screwy results.

Other matches:

Arsenal-Southampton
Man City-Sunderland
Man United-Stoke
Spurs-Norwich
West Ham-Villa
Palace-Bournemouth
West Brom-Swansea
Everton-Newcastle
Watford-Chelsea

The 718
Ayew (the other one) just sent off for AV against West Ham, for a vicious elbow to the head of Cresswell while jockeying for position on a throw-in.

Talk about burying the lead. You scored twice in the first half.

Sunderland are absolutely taking it to City. If they played with this kind of energy every week they'd not be worried about a thing. Looks like a cup final.

Wonder goal from Vardy. First time volley from right outside the corner of the penalty box

Can't even be mad, what an unbelievable goal by Vardy after an excellent long ball from Mahrez

Yeah, that was ridiculously good. Mignolet has been keeping Liverpool in the game but he had absolutely no chance at saving that.

Liverpool should concentrate all their efforts on the Europa League - only chance they have of qualifying for Champions League.

West Ham have taken approximately 30 shots and a few dozen corners. The ref just gave a pity goal kick. Still can't score a second somehow.

Liverpool really didn't play badly, they just have no punch up front and played a very good team that took their chances.

Ho hum, Spurs win again
Solid win. One from Alli, two from Kane (one a PK earned by Alli). Alli left at the half due to illness.

Spurs currently own the best GD in the league and slide into 3rd based on that.

Btw some excellent non premier league football tonight. Napoli is taking it to Lazio while Juventus, PSG, and Barcelona are all playing.

I'm sure Valencia fans will be really fired up for the second leg of that tie at home already down 7 goals.

Ratface should have stayed on the telly.
