You’re not going to call the follow up cross check to Pasta while he’s on the deck after calling that “charge” on Clifton? Odd.

Don't hit a guy a .5 second after the whistle, but knock a guy over... puck long gone... take the time to turn around and then crosscheck him into the ice... no call....

I don’t think you can keep the Czechs together, especially if Pastrnak isn’t himself. Their strength was they converted their scoring chances, and that was a lot of Pastrnak. Without that, they’re a 75+ second shift in the defensive zone every time out.

This league remains a complete joke. Officials decide every fucking game.

This should be a better game for Pastrnak considering all the early calls will probably bring down the physicality a little bit.
the crosscheck into the ice after he was already bowled over by the guy he just took is going to disagree with you...

I am so fucking tired of the NHL ref show. I will have to seriously consider whether I keep watching after Bergy hangs them up.

Why would Swayman not start if this was the case?
I have a theory. While doing normal goalie things, he hasn't really let in any that I think he had to make, but hasn't really stolen many either, and he looks uncomfortable sometimes. I wonder if a puck snuck under a pad and he has a bad bruise that's fine, until certain moves it's not. His movement reminds me of the few times I've had a puck sneak in and catch my knee, one especially bad that got the spot right above my kneecap. I could play just fine, but flashing the pad could randomly cause sharp pain. Something is up, and I think they are being way too stubborn sticking with him when he isn't 100%

My first time watching Florida closely is this series. I am impressed by their defensemen. Very sound fundamentally.
Few open shots or give aways and they have been great at blocking shots.
They’re doing a great job of sitting back in the neutral zone and surrounding their goalie and waiting for the Bruins to fuck up. I’m more impressed with their ability to turn every mistake into a goal.

Can we trade reg season Monty for playoff Tito? Inexcusable to play Clifton over Gryz. All the credit in the world to Monty in the reg season but his playoffs have not been good.

Every series the bruins lose its that the other team is dirty and the refs aren't calling it even. Maybe at some point the problem is the bruins not stepping it up for playoff hockey?
That’s definitely the case right now. Zero excuses. They’re afraid to move right now. A little bit of adversity and some coaching adjustments and they can’t deal with it. Someone needs to grow some balls in that room.

Even guys who were great so far this series did nothing. Coyle isn’t skating, Hall isn’t skating. They’re just dragging ass top to bottom. I hope Hathaway breaks everything in the locker room while Uncle Nick lights his own shit on fire in a trashcan with Forbort crying in the corner. Enough fucking patty cake. Let’s go out and at least get our frustration out by skating and hitting if we’re going to lose. Maybe we’ll find a way into a win through that but if not let’s leave their guys in some pain and make them not want the puck ever again.

Yeah it’s not like they are getting overly beat up or anything like that. They just need to not be utter shit on the pick which, oh yeah, being good on the puck happens to be the whole reason Grz was put on this planet.

They’ve been dogshit on their own, and the reffing hasn’t really been all that bad. I thought the Clifton call was soft given everything else that they’re letting go, but the Bruins are playing like absolute shit. That’s it. That’s really the whole story.

Yup. They need to step up because other teams will continue to bully them until they do. The playoffs are supposed to be tough and the Bruins look like they aren’t up to that challenge right now.

That’s what kills me about this series. They look soft. Both mentally and physically. And they’re not soft. Hell they were tough as hell all season. They gotta remind themselves of that.

If I just started watching in the playoffs, there is no way in the world you could convince me that this team had the best regular season record in NHL history. They look middle of the pack at best and they sure don't look like a veteran team. They look scared and overwhelmed, way too many mistakes

Right now it doesn’t even matter if they’re taking hits or not—they are all playing like they’re afraid the big hit is coming.
