Not good.

One thing that has really changed is the Celtics were just punishing Young defensively the first couple games and that hasn't really happened nearly as much. How much of that is adjustments (I see some shading, and they've blitzed a couple times but only a couple) and how much is lack of celtics discipline in hunting it? I fear it is mostly the latter.

I can’t get over this team for blowing game 5. You just can’t put yourself in these type of games/situations.

The energy of the teams is so different. The Hawks are sprinting around and look down right twitchy. It’s feels like in a high school basketball movie where Hicksville is out hustling Big City.

ATL getting solid looks and hitting them. Cs working harder to keep pace. Less clean.

TL is liability. Just getting torched on the perimeter and unrecognizable as a rim protector, plus on O they set the screen so high he isn't much of a threat for a lob

Seems like the Hawks are going to score 200 this game. This isn't last year's Celtics defense.

Yeah, this is the big issue....the defense just isn't there. It's not all Young being hot, and not all fast-breaks...they have not shown any real ability to get stops.
Can the Hawks maintain this pace against the Celtics’ depth?

I miss the good old days when Marcus maneuvered around screens as if they didn't exist.

He's totally off tonight. There was a play last game where someone mentioned he was gimpy; worried that is what is going on. His rebounding is ok but he isn't protecting rim well.

Horford also looks slow all series; Young is quick and Hawks have hutned that, but Al is looking slow against a lot of their quicker guys. his game is no longer punishing smaller guys at other end either---Celtics don't have anyone to do that vs smaller/quicker guys Hawks are playing

Offensively, he's been offensive.

Defensively, he's actually been ok, at least in rim protection. He's got 11 blocks and 5 steals in the series thus far.
It's the midrange he's been awful---they are consistently having his man (often Trae) take him for an open jumper on switches

How is it that every team in the league for years has been able to hunt the one guy on our defense relentlessly, in the playoffs, when it's a bad matchup (Kemba, IT4, Kyrie, now Al against Trae, etc).

But we can't figure out how to get like a single possession with Trae covering anyone?

I did not have Trae Young/Jimmy Butler turn into knockdown, can't miss 3 point shooters in the playoffs on my 2022-2023 Playoff Bingo Card.

Ha, right? Brad should be the most prepared person in the league to take advantage of this.
