I've been hearing this described as "a bug" making its way through the Bruins locker room*. Are any of these guys unvaccinated at this point?

It’s a GI bug, not covid. And Bertuzzi, to answer the question.

Is part of the fun here being all freaked out because bad things COULD happen? This is the good stuff, people, even if nothing is as planned. Try to at least find a little joy to mix in with your stress!

Bertuzzi is the only unvaccinated player in the NHL. Monty said this was a GI issue though. going back 10-14 days. Lauko apparently lost 8 pounds.

New arounds these parts?
Didn't grow up in New England?
Both?

Edit: I think the answers to both of those questions are no, but I felt required to post them anyway.

Edit2: It is, indeed, the good stuff. But godsdammit if it doesn't come with a lot of stress when the expectations are high. Now, where did I put that little piece of joy?

I'm sure Marchand is good for a shithanded goal or 2.

On Monday’s edition of Zolak & Bertrand, Ty Anderson gave the latest update on the illness plaguing the Bruins’ locker room.

  • Players Are Being Told To Stay Away...

Marc Bertrand: How severe is this? This illness, this bug that’s going around the room.
Ty Anderson: Yeah, it’s a pretty bad one. You know, Jim Montgomery today noted that Jakub Lauko had it and he lost 8 pounds. It reminds me of back in 2021, Trent Frederic had an illness and lost 10 pounds. So, they’re calling it a GI. So I imagine it’s a stomach virus probably coming out both ends, unfortunately for the Bruins. And so guys are legitimately out of, you know, out of sight, out of mind, I think and players are wanting to avoid this spreading. Coaching staff wants us to avoid spreading any further than it has. So. You know these guys that you have game-time decisions on, I think there’s legit doubt because they want to stop the bleeding and it’s now gone on for two weeks. They’ve had five players now who’ve contracted it. So those who do have it, I think they’re being told to stay away.

Linus for the first, change underwear and shit during the second, Swayman comes out with fresh undies in the 2nd, can leave and change in the 3rd when Linus comes back. Whats the problem? Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.

SoSH die?

NESN indicating Bergy out :(
Win one for the old gipper. This must be one hell of an illness. These guys literally play with body parts dangling. I'm a little surprised they didn't just load up on immodium and have IVs in between periods. I guess it's just G1.

When did this whole GI bug start? I was away in the Faroe Islands until last night, and just went on twitter and saw this.

First I heard about it was in the wake of Bergeron’s departure from the Montreal game. Really recently, in other words. But it’s been ongoing for a while, apparently.

Marchand - Zacha - DeBrusk
Bertuzzi - Krejci - Pastrnak
Hall - Coyle - Frederic
Foligno - Nosek - Hathaway

Is my guess

Not too many things can derail this team and one of the few potential things that can happens right before the playoffs. Hopefully enough guys are at full strength. Cowboy Up!!
