Maybe the tough love thing is true but imo the biggest challenge CJM has is being the calming voice in the huddle. That’s a maturity thing. He just comes off as jumpy and pissed. And that’s not what the team needs right now
He’d be right at home in a game thread, though!

No, of course not. But when an NBA team makes the final four you know they are good and when they play really well in a first game of the series, it seems to me the conclusion that they are what they are doing is at least as likely as that it is an aberration. The Celtics are going to need to be much much better.

I think you'll do better as a gambler not extrapolating much from a team shooting 54 from three and 72 from midrange but that's just me

Is there data on whether run stopping time outs actually work?
Even if they do, it's probably worth what, a point or two at most? Timeout usage is VASTLY overrated on this board.

Edit: End-of-game timeouts are probably more important. But that actually counsels using fewer timeouts during the rest of the game.
