I sense two absolute blowouts today. Hope I’m wrong.
I’m not sure why everyone continues to sell St. Peter’s short. Kentucky and Purdue had a lot more talent than UNC. St. Peter’s ride might end today, but I’ll be surprised if they aren’t competitive. Similarly, Miami has lost only one game by more than four points since January 1, so I’d be surprised if they weren’t competitive against Kansas, even though I do think they’ll lose.

I think UNC is playing very very good basketball - better than Kentucky or Purdue had been playing.

If Miami can control the pace I can see it being close, I don’t know enough about them to think they can. I just want good games, don’t care much about who wins (but go Peacocks!)

Not sure if it has been said before, but Larranaga is the first coach to take two different schools as double digit seeds to the Elite Eight. And if he wins today (for FF) that resulting record may be a record that will not be broken.

I just realized it’s kinda weird that Queen music is being used to hawk pickup trucks.

Such an interesting career. I always forget that he stayed at Mason for another five years after that final four run. And credit to Miami for being patient after three straight losing seasons.

Happy to be wrong!
You called it — just took a while for it to play out. And we were entertained for a while in the bargain.

Feel bad for the Miami players, having their run end this way.

Ugh the nightmare scenario coming into shape, Duke/UNC Kansas/Nova. Oh well just hope we get good games.

North Carolina is playing better, but the officiating is not doing any favors here

Looks like @canderson had bingo upthread. St. Peter’s look outmanned against Carolina in a way they didn’t against Kentucky or Purdue. Of course, it wouldn’t seem so bad if they were getting even average shot luck.
