Credit to the Packers, reminds of how the Pats would look bad at times early in the season and get better throughout until they were playing awesome football at the end of the year.

I’m too old but I’m sad I will never be one of those people that offers water bottles to players on the sideline. Time outs are easy. Squirt away. But sideline? It looks like it requires some subtlety. You don’t want to get up in their personal space, but you also have a duty to make sure they know the water is there. The great ones also take player hydration exceptionally seriously. Wins and losses have turned on less, especially when the teams are well matched.

So you never make eye contact. You let the water bottle do the talking. But the arm can never be straight. Slight bend of the arm.

Always present, but deferential. That’s the gig. Always present, but deferential.

That fist real throw from Purdy into a Packer was exactly what Jimmy did for years. Sigh.

Sounds like a P&G thread ... "Would you be the water bottle guy for your favorite football team?"

His calf? I mean, he's had a calf injury; but if that's his calf they were rubbing ...

I feel like you guys are mocking. Most people don’t pay attention.

Watch carefully tonight. A good Senior Assistant Hydration Administration Technician is almost invisible. But they are there. When you know what you’re looking at, you realize that to get to this level, a SAHAT has to be so smooth. These are underappreciated professionals.

Is there a union or trade group for these folks. Like an association for SAHATs?
