Did Boras try to cover up Ramirez's PED use?

Scott Boras, baseball's most powerful agent, urged Biogenesis founder Tony Bosch to fabricate records in an effort to overturn a 50-game suspension for Manny Ramirez, according to a published report.
Newsday, citing two sources familiar with the matter, reported Friday that Bosch told federal investigators that Boras asked him to produce a patient chart as part of an appeal of a 50-game suspension levied in May 2009 on Ramirez, then a Boras client.
Boras on Friday denied the allegations and told USA TODAY Sports he will soon issue a statement on the matter.
Bosch said he and his father, Pedro Bosch, did not keep patient charts on his clients, but that Boras told him to include hcG - a fertility drug - in the patient chart. Boras perhaps was not aware hcG was listed as a banned substance by Major League Baseball.
Newsday also reported that Boras, Bosch said, aimed to cite Ramirez's accidental use of an elderly uncle's testosterone cream, believing it was aftershave, as part of his defense.

I like this:

Boras also came up with a story, Bosch told the federal agents, about Ramirez's elderly uncle using testosterone cream that resembled aftershave. Bosch added that because Ramirez had a weakness for women, as Boras' story went, one night he unwittingly used his uncle's cream as aftershave, resulting in a failed drug test because of high testosterone levels.

This from a guy who ripped ACES and other agents who were involved in Biogenesis and talked about opening a clinic in Miami to prevent players there from being taken advantage of by pushers and thieves.

Also interesting, I never knew Boras had a degree in industrial pharmacology.

if this is proven, could MLB pursue a suspension of Boras?

Perhaps. And since the MLBPA certifies agents, they could always move to have him decertified as well. Of course the MLBPA probably wouldn't want to do this given how many players Boras has under management and how well he does in representing them come contract time, but the possibility is there.

That's a HUGE "if", I mean, I read through this semi-carefully and couldn't find anything other than Tony Bosch's words to support this allegation...and I don't really put a lot of faith in Tony Bosch's words.

Who is hearing Boras' story out initially?

Was this cream so powerful that one usage with a small amount being gently rubbed into your cheeks considerably raises your T levels?
