I'd double down on weapons. Tyquan and Juju should be looked at as camp bodies at this point, they aren't locks for the roster in any way. Add Franklin/Tez Walker and Sanders, their TE corps could use a guy who's a little more dynamic in the passing game. Fuck it, get some toys and see how it pans out.

I think Franklin or Walker would be better shots at WR - more speed.
I get the want for faster guys but I want mismatches. I think playing physical can work in this modern NFL. Defenses are getting faster. Let’s bulk up and hit em in the mouth.

I wouldn’t mind using 180 or 193 on AJ Barner if he’s available and if they don’t go TE in the 4th.

Franklin at 103 is my hope, but only because Oregon was one of the few teams I saw play last year. Since I have a preference, he will probably go to Carolina. Hopefully, Seattle goes for defense.

I know I'm on an island, but I'd try to nab Rattler if he's there with the 2nd fourth-rounder and say bye to Zappe. WR, edge, CB are deep with the first Pats pick of the day.

I want no part of Troy Franklin. Too sleight. I don't want to get fooled again after Tyquan.

Lots of people are saying to focus on weapons and Damn the consequences, but one of the things I always appreciated about Bill over the years was that he always seemed to have a plan. The plan was usually to make sure they were adding certain guys at certain positions each year so that when guys came off their rookie contracts they could be replaced or extended. He always took a big picture approach to the roster, warts and all. I always felt that that was a huge reason why he tended to do pretty well under the cap system compared to lots of teams. We could afford to let the flowers of the world go because we had someone to replace them. Even this year due to the massive injuries we saw guys like sow, mafi, and Andrews pressed into duty a year or two early on the o-line. If you think about it sow will be our rg this year, Andrews will likely replace Andrews next year and mafi is depth. It wasn't sexy in any way but it worked damn well for 20 years.

P.S. I thought about Rattler as well, but my biggest fear is a Brissett injury in the first month of the season. I don’t want to force Maye onto the field, so regrettably I think they need to keep Zappe.
