So, I'm going to buying a car dash cam in the future. I figure it's only a matter of time before I capture a meteorite or alien invasion, and want to be the first person to upload it to Youtube

In all seriousness, it seems like a good idea to have a dash cam, and I've looked at several models. My main concern is if I happen to be going 10 mph, get pulled over, and the police confiscate it. I really don't speed, I used to when younger--but it's kind of pointless unless you're really on it for long periods of time, or bored. Of course we can all be caught day dreaming and get pulled over. But then there is also the slight chance I witness something terrible, and the cop wants to confiscate the camera/card to destroy evidence (the name is Bond, James Bond).

So, I did some research and it appears eyefi sd cards can transmit data to another device (android mp3 player, android phone, etc.).

Anyone know if there are specific dash cams available that can accept the eyefi sd card. I could then encrypt the card on the phone or whatever. Ideally, one that has front/rear cameras--although I guess being rear-ended in most cases, are almost all cases, it is the person behind you.

Paranoid, yes, but it also seems like a fun/cool project.
