Officials missed a super obvious intentional grounding on the failed ND trick play. QB can’t throw it away if he’s handed the ball off at any point.

They are in this hole primarily because of their offense. No margin for error means exactly that. No fumbles, no missed throws, no dropped catchable passes.

College football just isn't competitive. People want a 16 team playoff. We can't even get 4 teams for a good semifinal round. Except for the first year and OU/Georgia, the semifinals have been blowouts.

OK’s defense isn’t very good, but this Clemson stuff we’ve seen isn’t likely to cut it against Alabama. The wunderkind Will be brought back to earth pretty quickly.

Now they are unraveling. You could tell on that offside penalty, which was entirely pointless.

Clemson is destroying ND. Made their offense look pathetic.
Sports are weird. If not for a totally unnecessary illegal man downfield penalty against Syracuse (the correct call...just no reason for the lineman to do it and it had no impact on the play) late in the game, SU knocks off Clemson at Clemson. Notre Dame crushes Syracuse. And now Clemson is hammering Notre Dame.

The committee could have made a bold statement if they used their eyes and put Georgia over Notre Dame. Clemson/Georgia would have been a far better game.
That’s the argument for a bigger field.

It's really hard to argue against 8 teams in a playoff.
It’s the only way you can get a really good 2-loss team like Georgia in most years.

If GA had been in this year, it would have been at the expense of OK, not ND. GA would be playing later tonight, and this game would be exactly as it is.

And if it's 8, people will still complain about teams not getting in. But it will be teams ranked 9th or worst, so it'll be hard to complain that much.

Notre Dame looked like they had about six guys on the field for that run, GJGE.

ND needs to grow some balls and get into a conference, B1G, ACC, MAC

Just some conference

Get a motherfucking life, Sweeney. Every one of the borderline calls have gone your way. You are up 30 to 3.

The NCAA just needs to mandate that independents won't be part of the championship process. Notre Dame has no incentive to join a conference as long as they keep making the semis as the 7th or 8th best team in the country.

Well, I was being charitable on where they should realistically be ranked this year (behind Georgia, Ohio State and UCF), not on actual talent.
