That’s because your assumption is that a referee saw the play, and is making up his mind. Far more likely is that the receiver is somebody else’s responsibility, and the official who DOES see it is letting them have first crack at it before stepping inWhy?
if you see a penalty you throw the flag. If an official waits five seconds after the fact, I would think the correct assumption would be to question why that’s the case and to wonder if they were influenced by something beyond what they saw in real time.
Why did GreenBay kick that FG again?
Agree. But they didn’t call a DPI or hold all game, and it was obvious out there, especially in the 4th qtr. The Bucs got their interception on an obvious hold, not called.I have never understood the "let them play" mentality... what does not calling obvious penalties have to do with a good game. It just means you are deciding a game just by not calling penalties.
Ha, one of my favorite takes, good call out. For years Niners fans ran around pumping up their undefeated SB record, as if it was better to lose in an earlier round. This is going to hurt Brady's Super Bowl win percentage.
55 Super Bowls, Brady in 10 of them.21 years in the league, 10 Super Bowls.
Well, it's either:Everybody knows he's winning #7, right?
Exactly. This will haunt them. They easily could have won. Poor choices and clock management.Giving up that TD with 6 seconds left in the half and Rodgers poor red zone performance is what lost this game.
Exactly, foul has to be beyond the pale to flag and that one was beyond the paleThe best part of the behind replay is that shows the guy grabbed the jersey initially... then switched hands and grabbed it again with his other hand. I mean maybe you give him the first grab where he stretched the shirt all the way out, but then he goes and grabs it again with the other hand? You earned taht flag.
10 in 20 as a starter. And would have been 11 if he didn't get Pollard-ed10 Super Bowls in 21 years. Just let that sink in. Incredible.
Although Packers could have won that game several times if they executed and didn’t have some really bad coaching decisions.
He absolutely is accountable for this and should carry it.This is on Rodgers. His defense gave him the ball three times with a chance to take the lead or tie the game, and he got only a FG.
Only the first option is a good one.Well, it's either:
- #7 for Brady
- Mahomes gets revenge for the AFCCG loss and becomes the first guy since Brady to go back-to-back.
- Loss #4 for Brady against the team best known for losing 4 in a row.
19 healthy seasons as starting QB, 10 Super Bowls.21 years in the league, 10 Super Bowls.
Good lord. He probably played his worst half ever. And he wasn’t great in the first half and definitely should have been picked right before the half. 3 straight picks and lucky to get 3 points on the penultimate drive.Brady is amazing.
If his defense just played prevent at the end of the first half the game is still going. This is on Rodgers. His defense gave him the ball three times with a chance to take the lead or tie the game, and he got only a FG.
Yep they let them play but that was beyond obvious. It would have been criminal to NOT throw a flag there.Exactly, foul has to be beyond the pale to flag and that one was beyond the pale
Francesa says this too.Ha, one of my favorite takes, good call out. For years Niners fans ran around pumping up their undefeated SB record, as if it was better to lose in an earlier round.
They did. It was ridiculous. I'm not talking just about that one play. Which was only questionable due to not baking so many others. The no calls earlier should have pissed you off, not that.
Has any player lost 4 SB?This is going to hurt Brady's Super Bowl win percentage.
1st part is still truewho would probably pay anything to be there and get all of the tickets.
Both 2nd and 3rd down he should haveRogers not scrambling to the goal line cost them a shot at winning. Still did not understand the FG try, you have to go for it with 2 minutes left.
What does a Brady win in two weeks do to Belichik’s legacy, I wonder. Pretty clear who needed whom.System quarterback. I don’t think so.
Excellent point. At worst you are looking at 4th and short if he somehow does not get in.Because they made the mistake of going for two earlier in the game, and their great QB threw into coverage instead of running five or six yards (or possibly scoring) and making the going for it on fourth down a no brainer (assuming it wasn't already).
Believe me, I got it all the time from Steelers fans. Brady lost three Super Bowls!!! Yeah what a terrible way to end a season, by beating almost everyone else.Ha, one of my favorite takes, good call out. For years Niners fans ran around pumping up their undefeated SB record, as if it was better to lose in an earlier round.
Probably bout 25 guys on the 90s BillsHas any player lost 4 SB?
And it won't be the headline, eitherStory of the game was the Bucs’ fourth quarter defense. They shut down the league’s MVP on three drives on the road.
