I'll preface this thread by saying I'm a big dumb idiot who just bought an Asus Chromebook, overly focused on performance without considering the sea change brought about by using an OS I'm not terribly familiar with.
To make a long story short, I bought the new machine because I wanted a cheap purchase for recreational home use, in particular I wanted to make an edited video of my recent ski trip. I've done this before using GoPro's basic video editor, and I made that (back in 2018) using my Surface Pro 4. Fastforward to unboxing my new machine and learning that GoPro's video editor program is not supported on Chrome OS. Big dumb idiot like I said...
So please provide me any insight on a video editing program on Chrome OS for GoPro and iPhone footage. I've tried messing with Kinemaster and ProDirector (might be ActiveDirector, not sure since I don't have the Chromebook with me ATM) but neither one makes it overly easy to import video and start doing some basic clipping. TIA.
