Yup. We're likely never getting that back.Still bummed we were robbed of the guards + Tacko lineup.
On the 10th Ojeleye was on the report but Theis and Edwards were not.So Edwards is a new positive? Or did I miss that?
Were Ojeleye and Theis on the contact list before?
Making more sense why a bunch of cancellations....
It will be a fascinating game to watch if this is the entire available roster. Here's the Cs potential roster for tonight if no questionables are available to play:
PG – Payton Pritchard – Tremont Waters
SG – Jeff Teague
SF – Marcus Smart – Aaron Nesmith
PF – Grant Williams
C – Tristan Thompson – Tacko Fall
Gwill goes for 20 tonight, I can feel it!
How do you envision anyone else scoring when Marcus is taking every shot in the game? Here's the Cs potential roster for tonight if no questionables are available to play:

Come on, Marcus doesn't shoot every time. He will pass the ball once in a while. How do you envision anyone else scoring when Marcus is taking every shot in the game?
Pritchard damned well better take at least 15 shots with that lineup. Here's the Cs potential roster for tonight if no questionables are available to play:

I feel the same way, though my guess is that after 1 or 2 of them, we will be longing for the regular squad.I'd obviously rather see the full lineup but its surprising to me how excited I am to watch these crazy lineups and see how it goes.
Are you talking one or two quarters? Or games? If its the former, I take the under. That line-up could certainly grift and mug its way to an unlikely victory. But the more likely outcome is a loss that feels more like one from the early part of the Stevens/Smart era.I feel the same way, though my guess is that after 1 or 2 of them, we will be longing for the regular squad.
Certainly the Celtics would be big underdogs in these games without Tatum and Brown, I'm not banking on any unlikely victories. Are you talking one or two quarters? Or games? I feel you and all the Cs fans here on that. I am waiting for the Nesmith breakout game where he goes for 30+ on like 11 shots or something. I understand that I may be waiting in vain...Certainly the Celtics would be big underdogs in these games without Tatum and Brown, I'm not banking on any unlikely victories.
I think the excitement is more related to seeing some of the younger guys get big minutes, not the results.
But I agree, it's going to likely be short-lived excitement. May be partially driven just by having the Celtics back at all.
Rookies are usually bad, and they look worse on good teams who switch everything and run a real offense. They did work out Nesmith in person, right? It's impossible that he is as bad as he has looked in games, right?
I don't think Romeo looked as much like a fish out of water last season as Nesmith has looked so far this year. I know summer league, training camp, all that. I know all the excuses. Just surprising a bit that he has looked as bad as he's looked, while some other rookies have been able to flourish. Especially one of the big things for him was that he could walk on the floor and shoot threes.Rookies are usually bad, and they look worse on good teams who switch everything and run a real offense.
And even worse with fraction of the usual post-draft and preseason activities (and he was limited by injury in his last season at Vandy). Pritchard is the exception here not Nesmith, although 4 years in college definitely helped the former.Rookies are usually bad, and they look worse on good teams who switch everything and run a real offense.
Romeo not only had the summer, he also didn't play a minute (14 seconds aside) until the 25th game of the season.I don't think Romeo looked as much like a fish out of water last season as Nesmith has looked so far this year. Should've bet on rebound %, gotta teach the kid about advanced stats!Has to be. Been off so shouldnt be an Injury and he was on the Bench so H+S isnt the concern.
I was happy I have a $1 big money bet with my 12yo that he avgs 5+ rebounds a game this year. I do need any 10 min time limit games screwing up the average.
