Sure, go for it. Anyone who's hurt? Shut 'me down and get them ready for next year.
I'd rather watch the kids than any of these guys who have folded any time there has been any pressure put on them this year. I'm about to go full Wall-E on this year's "team". Chia and Claude included.

It's not too late to suck for Eichel.

Unfortunately it is, there have been teams tanking for McDavid/Eichel since the season started.

Two things:

-I'll tack on three players regardless of health: Kelly, Söderberg, and McQuaid. I dare say none of those three factor into any more than the next 9 games. Why let them clutter up an evaluation period.

-I was literally typing this thought, then stopped for being both too Pollyanna and too Chicken Little at the same time: if you thought they had any chance, do you try to get Babcock to coach here? I only hesitate because, once you do that, you can't come up short and leave yourself with Claude and a poisoned well.

Sad thing is, this team appears to be doomed to mediocrity for some time. I don't see much hope for the future, Chia has backed himself into a corner.

That and the conference is pretty stacked.  What is the avg age of this TB team, 25-26?  They are scary good and young.

I'm at the give up stage as well as everyone else in here, but I don't believe the future is as bleak as it's being presented here.  Injuries and the cap penalty really limited this team.  It does appear they need a bit of a shakeup though.

Just tough to see where the improvement comes from. This team was built around Chara and he's basically reduced to a long reach right now

Well, it'll take some maneuvering but they have trade able assets and their cap situation isn't as dire as people make it out to be.  Their heavy contracts don't really have too much term on them either, with the exception of people that you want to pay (Chara excluded, of course).

They are playing like they'd rather lose 4-1 than 5-1 right now.

Well they did give up a 2-0 to Stamkos so I'd say they are doing their best to give up more goals.

Score a goal and immediately put out the worst line in hockey to tilt the ice back to Tampa.

There it is.

Oh well, I only have to put up with the corpse of Greg Campbell for 9 more games. Looking on the bright side.

Chia could re-sign him for two more years over the offseason.

On that note:

I think that Brick is nuts... it isn't leadership the Bruins are missing, it's talent.

Yeah, I think it exonerates the management, which shouldn't happen. Besides, if the leadership issue is that bad, Chara, Bergeron, and Kelly should lose their captaincies.

How the Bruins continue to employ that talentless man after his father's email re: Savard I will never know.

I'm almost feeling like Claude has to go.  I know, I sound like an idiot, but it just seems pretty clear that this team won't work for him anymore.  It's their fault, not his.  It also explains his love of the 4th line.  They suck, terribly, but they ALWAYS work.  You can't say that about the rest of the team.

Of course the score.

Be honest, it wouldn't surprise you.

It would at this point.  The Talbot trade strikes me as a move with Campbell in mind.  I hope I'm not wrong.

It's built around Chara, Bergeron and Rask, and the latter two are still as good as ever.

You can remake a team pretty fast, too. They may have to play out the string with the Seidenberg deal but most of the others will run out or be relatively tradeable soon.

Whether they will be able to is another question.

Well, if the Canucks are any kind of an example, and they really should be, you can turn it around really fast by making smart offseason moves.
