FSU would've been in the top 2 under the old system, I'll bet.

Ya, we would have waited 2 weeks to see Bama smash FSU. At least now we get Oregon - Bama in 2 weeks.

Did you get a chance to peep ECU's QB this year?

You joke, but ECU's QB, Shane Carden, may very well be one of the better QB's coming out of this year's draft class. Wouldn't surprise me at all if he ends up with a better NFL career than Mariota or Winston.

Well-deserved taunting call there.

Oh, I'm not joking.

Alabama is not going to be able to sub out their defense against Oregon (obviously) which I think could be a HUGE factor. Tonight, urban Meyer is letting Saban set up every play exactly as he wants.

If OSU had beaten Wisconsin say 35-14 instead of 59-0 I wonder what the committee would have done

Same thing. OSU as a Big Ten team coupled with the Baylor/TCU conundrum made an OSU win an automatic bid to the playoff.

Bama's secondary is their weakness. Gotta let Jones keep throwing downfield.

The big run early probably gave them the wrong idea.

But why was OSU ranked behind them before the Wisconsin game?

No doubt. Bama relies on their D-line depth.

Thinking this is finally Oregon's year. In seasons past their offense has sputtered after a month off. Now that they are rolling and only have a week+ off they may embarrass tonight's winner as well.

Why do they keep rolling the kid out to his left?  Urban is forcing him to throw the ball across his body.  It's weird, even when it's short side of the field.

That is how I throw the ball to my three year old so it doesn't scare him. It still does, but helps I think.

We are on the same page there. They should have been ahead of them the last couple games. It was a cowardly move. They waited until the end to make the call to avoid the BS.

Yeah, it's really weird. I keep expecting him to trip over his feet running to his left.

To be fair that is about how hard you can throw Sally.

next time, try it without the 200 lb guy running him over before the ball gets to him. I'm no child psychologist but I think that would help

Because rankings can't decipher dollar signs. OSU is more valuable than TCU, that's it.
I'm not so conspiratorial -- I think the committee gave some weight to tOSU's 11-0 campaign last season. Which is wrong, but they wouldn't have led the TCU folks on so blatantly if they knew they were going to go with the bigger TV draw if they both finished with one loss.
