Attending a Revs Game

Sorry if this should be somewhere else but I could't find anything when I searched. I'm going to my first Revs game this Saturday night vs. NYCFC. We are staying at a hotel along Route 1.

-We were planning on getting there early and tailgating. Are the rules the same as Patriots games? Do a lot of people tailgate for these games?

-How is the seating set up? One of the guys going with us is a NY fan and asked if we were sitting near their fans section. I told him I have no idea. We're in section 133 almost in the middle of the field.

-Anything else I should know going in? Our New York friend was going to be in town and mentioned going so we all decided to go on a whim. I've heard great things I just feel like I have no idea what to expect.

Forgive me if this is already a topic and thanks for any suggestions.

I've been to a few and have had a blast each time.  Lots of people tailgate but it's obviously not going to be as much fun as Patriots Game or a concert, more likely you'll bring some chairs and a grill and chat with whoever you're with.

Not sure about seating and what team sits where and I've never really noticed that there is a team section other than in the end zone. Seats are amazing though when you consider you're sitting in $300 plus seats at Pat's games for $25.  Beer prices are all the same inside as well.

If you're sitting in 133 you'll be fine. The Fort (the standing fan section) is at the open end zone side. Most people tailgate before games. You'll be able to park in the lot right in front of CBS scene by the Hall of Fame. One of my good buddies is a Revs STH and I've been a few times. It's a really cool atmosphere. The parking lots are much easier to get in and out of then for a Pats game. Nobody will give your buddy a hard time either (as long as he's not being a total obnoxious asshole), I'd stay away from The Fort unless you want to stand the whole game.

Thanks a lot. It sounds a lot like what I expected and like fun. We've all been to a ton of Patriots games and concerts there so we have the process down. I just didn't want us to be the only idiots in the lots grilling before the game. I checked the website and it says lots open 2 hours before the game. Is that accurate or will we be able to sneak in a little earlier? That doesn't seem like a lot of time to get set up and cook and relax before having to pack up and make the walk into the stadium.

Thanks again
