No.Anyone have stats on Clete Blakemen's OL holding calls vs league average?
Chiefs with 52 or less and we good. We're scoring 53 points tomorrow.
Anyone have stats on Clete Blakemen's OL holding calls vs league average?
I have a feeling this game could be decided by offensive holding calls. NE should be able to run at will against KC. NE has the 4th best running OL by FO vs. the 31 worst KC DL. Holding calls will more than tip those scales esp if they are as egregiously bad as the 3rd Q hold called against IND last week.
I posted this article last week comparing refs for this year. Blakeman ranks 7th (tied with two others) out of 17 for holding. 5th highest overall flag rate. This is the Blakeman page on PFR:
https://www.pro-football-reference.com/officials/BlakCl0r.htm
Not itemized out on penalty, but home teams have what looks like an atypically high losing record on his watch this year, fwiw (probably not much).
Great article thanks. I'm guessing most of those calls are for holding on pass plays if Blakemen is responsible for the T not the interior OL play as the article suggests. Trent Brown could be in trouble if so as he has had struggles with fast smaller pass rushers this year.I posted this article last week comparing refs for this year. Right but the article linked focuses on what Blakemen's responsibilities are which are primarily the line of scrimmage. He tends to call a lot more roughing the passer than Vinovich who has the NO game. He also tends to call more offensive holding. The officials crew stats don’t mean much today. It is not Blakeman’s usual crew.
Looking like high teens during the game. Nice.Just arrived in KC. It’s damn cold.
It's not obtuse to point out a ridiculous statement. Saying, "If the Pats are behind 14, they can not come back," is as ridiculous as saying, "I'm hearing vaccines cause autism, so I wouldn't use them for my family. I just think that's safer."Some of you are being obtuse.
You fucking well know (a) that KC has more weapons in a shootout and (b) the hill becomes that much higher at that venue if they fall behind significantly.
But carry on.
Edit. For the record, I can see a KC blowout, a NE blowout, and everything in between. Almost nothing would surprise me tomorrow.
While you're at it, just for laughs break up with your girlfriend. Make-up sex is AMAZING!It’s almost worth it to have the Pats fall behind by 2 scores just to see what the game thread would be like.
In previous years, it would definitely be amazing. But this year, I am not sure if I could come back from the break up and rise to the occasion. While you're at it, just for laughs break up with your girlfriend. Make-up sex is AMAZING!
I can't see a NE blowout. I think of a sliding scale. Most games, it's around a 31 point window - the Pats could lose by 7 or win by 24. But this time, I think it's backwards. I could see the Pats winning a close one, or getting blown out. But I can't really see the Pats winning in a blowout. Some of you are being obtuse.

He’s just being digital on it, 1 or 0. It’s like we say “if you throw inside heat to Mookie Betts, he’ll hit it out of the park.” Well, of course, not every time, but more than he’ll hit any other kind of pitch out. It's not obtuse to point out a ridiculous statement. It's not true and it's not accurate. Do you know how I know it's not accurate? Because there is a greater than 0% chance the Pats could win today despite falling down by 10. It will make things more difficult, and they are on the road, but it's certainly possible. The Pats, should they fall down by 14, aren't going to walk off the field.
And I'm glad they won't, because they have come back from double digit deficits before in some of the biggest games of the season over the past few years.
I’d kill for a new edition of the TB Times around 9:30.Best social media team in sports. Is it game time yet?
Well that’s fine, but you’re changing his statement. He didn’t say they cannot come back. He said he doesn’t think they could. We deal with probabilities here; nothing is 100, nothing is zero. In his mind, coming back from two scores down is closer to the latter than the former. He is probably right. It's not obtuse to point out a ridiculous statement. I could see either team winning in a blowout. The sample size of drives in an NFL game is small and these are both good teams.I can't see a NE blowout. I think of a sliding scale. Lol, currently the entire site is members only.Whew!
Well, I just surfaced from a few minutes reading something called "chiefsplanet"
caveat emptor: https://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=320346&page=61
It is, let's say, interesting.... like a Jets discussion, only less grammatically clear.
That is pretty funny. It must be quite a dumpster fire in there.Lol, currently the entire site is members only.
Didn’t Brady take a knee on last play of regulation? Or just not counting that because it wasn’t a real play?Nuttiest stat I saw is that the Patriots ran 94 offensive plays and zero of them went for negative yards.
crEDIT to Dan Orlovsky for that one
Sorry, you're right - the correct stat was that only one play went for negative yards and it was that kneeldown.Didn’t Brady take a knee on last play of regulation? Or just not counting that because it wasn’t a real play?
Thanks for posting, I skipped to the last page and now I know all about the grand NFL conspiracyWhew!

Lots of confidence and paranoia all rolled up into one big mess. Funny mix really.
A running observation is that -- shocker -- the Pats cheat their way to the home record, 3-5 on the road is the real story.
Because its rigged for the Pats and I can prove it. Its all about numbers. I will open a new thread soon to show all of you. Do you really believe that an unathletic 41 year old can beat a highflying 23 year old Mahomes with one of the best offences of all time in his own house without something else going on? Mahomes would kill him everytime if it wasnt rigged. The Patriots defeat the Indians in the biggest game after the SB, sounds realistic. Since the rule changes, it makes it easier for them to rig the games.
I will post a little bit for now because I am a little busy with other stuff. Did you guys see the MAGA kid mocking & taunting the Native American Elder before the game this week? Obviously Pats represent America and the Chiefs represent the Indians. Pats beat the Indians in the biggest game after the SB, sounds realistic. The Lamar hunt trophy was exactly 1776 weeks old for this game. Brady went 7-4 on the road in the playoffs. 7/4/1776 very patriotic. Brady went 9-4 in AFCCG. 41st president died this season aged 94 and Brady is 41 years old. Foles was born the same day the 41st president was inaugurated and he won SB52 with 41 points the same year he died.
Both Conference games went into overtime today
First one was tied with 23 points each Second one was tied with 31 points each
23 is the 9th prime number
31 is the 11th prime number
And what do we get? A rematch of the "9/11 Bowl" from 17 years ago. The pats won their last 9 games that season and had 11 regular season wins.
Saints fell to 9-11 in the playoffs and Pats improved to 9-11 on the road in the playoffs.
Brady is going to his 9th SB and Pats their 11th overall. This will be his last.
Pats are the 9/11 team as the dynasty started after 9/11 (Patriot act)
Both planes that crashed into the Twin Towers took off from Boston. Its no surprise the Pats have twins from NY on their team. Even George W Bush was the first president to have twins. Pats were the first NFL team to purchase two Boeing 767's, same model of the planes that crashed into the twin towers. All symbolic.
Brady lost two SB against a New York team and against the Eagles. 9 Foles replaced 11 Weltz
Robert Kraft born on the 156th day of the year and 911 is the 156th prime number.
11 Edelman was key in the win over the Chiefs. NY is the 11th state. The twin towers looked like a giant 11. Flight 11 crashing into the north tower started the event.
Of course 34 sealed the game for the Pats. Pats beat the Falcons with 34 points in SB51 and now they will play in SB53 which is on the 34th day of the year.
Brady slayed Montana’s 4 rings
denied his former team a Super Bowl trip on the ROAD
To being the Goat as a #2 seed playing another #2 seed for the 2nd time
Will finish 2-0 and 6 rings giving the AFC it’s 26th championship
#26 Bell out for Pittsburgh, 26 MICHEL in, From GEORGIA ding ding ding drafted 1st round 31st pick, there is the 131 code that every super bowl winner in the past 12 years has had a connection a 131 somewhere... AFC 26th SB. A record 26 flags were thrown during the opening game this season between the Eagles and Falcons.
With the 23rd pick (SB53 on 2/3) the PATRIOTS drafted Isaiah WYNN from GEORGIA.
I have endless examples.
Do you see what is really on the Patriots logo? It appears to be a Flag on the surface but it's something else. The "Flag" in the Patriots logo is actually a pair of Red and white HORNS. Especially when the white "stripes" blend in with a white background.
Sadly, I think that takes Brady back down to <1000 yards rushing for his career.Sorry, you're right - the correct stat was that only one play went for negative yards and it was that kneeldown.
This is internet gold, but it has simply got to be parody. There is no way this person is for real. I mean, good lord, I assume this conspiracy was hatched in the basement of a pizza place with Hillary Clinton? Thanks for posting, I skipped to the last page and now I know all about the grand NFL conspiracy
Wow. I sit here marveling at the angst this person is feeling now.I want to go back in time and trade Anne Frank's family for Edelman's.
Mostly, with help now and then from Crossen and McCourty deep. Was Jonathan Jones on Hill pretty much the entire game?
