If the game has to be rescheduled, does it still b'cast on Apple? If not, I am rooting for a rain-out.

Weather wise.....per the NOAA forecast it's 100 percent chance of rain during the day and 60 percent at night. Saturday, it's a 50-50 chance. If anything, I'd postpone tonight then try to play a doubleheader on Saturday where the weather looks much better. Sunday looks much better weather-wise for a DH, but the Dodgers may not want to do that because they have to fly back to the West Coast as they have a series with AZ starting on Monday night.
Hypothetically speaking the Dodgers want a doubleheader Sunday and another one Tuesday or Wednesday and move the Monday?

No they wouldn't move any future games. They'd just play a DH here on Sunday and get home to play Monday.

Kike was a fun guy, a great centerfielder, and was terrific in the '21 playoffs. The shortstop thing didn't work out, but whatever, I enjoyed having him around.

I don't get this at all (maybe literally — did I miss a joke?).
I mean, I'm a casual Giants fan as a guy who spent my 20s in the city during the Age of Lincecum, so I have a mild Dodgers animus. But other than that, they're a tremendous franchise with an excellent ballpark — the third oldest! — in a city that is an absolute delight. McCourt is gone. (I guess I am kind of upset about the FCPA stuff...)
And Mookie is a class act who is something like the ninth-best homegrown position player that the Red Sox have ever developed — by bWAR for Boston, it's Ted, Yaz, Boggs, Evans, Speaker, Pedroia, Doerr, Rice, Betts — and he's already passed and will pass a few more of those guys in career WAR before he's done. He was the best player on several pennant-winners and a World Series champion. He's an All Time Great Red Sox player in my view. For the Dodgers, unless something really wild happens, he'll be another good free agent who passed through.

We had to make the early call to not head up from RI this afternoon, but the weather forecast is a little more favorable now. At the same time, I've seen many past occasions where the rain is forecasted to end in Boston but a heavy drizzle persists all night.
On the WunderMap it shows 2 inches of rain has fallen near the ballpark thus far, so the field conditions can't be great even if the rain stays light during the game. Especially with the aforementioned heavy drizzle, it is just constant enough to keep the grass blades slippery. So maybe they push forward, but it won't be pretty...
I'[m guessing if thunderstorms stay away and it's just rain, they play. Especially based on tomorrow not being perfect and Dodgers have to fly 5 hours and play on Monday. Don't they make the initial decision to play around 3-3:30 anyway?

For 2 games in Houston things went super swell.
In Thursday night’s thrashing the team seemed to gel.
When we hit and pitch, we have no parallel,
and a big win like that one just might propel
this team on a streak, but there’s no time to dwell.
The Dodgers are here, and they’re hoping to quell
our amazing offense and serve the death knell
to our playoff ambitions, so let’s rebel.
Let’s attack them full force, all out, and pell-mell.
Let’s excite Fenway fans, so we make them yell
so loud that they reach a new decibel.
(That is if the rain will let up for a spell.)
It’s Mookie’s return. He is no infidel.
We all loved him here and we have wished him well.
He’s one of the old Sox in their clientele.
Give him a warm welcome then give L.A. hell.

Mookie is a good player, but once players leave and return to play the Boston Red Sox, all I want to do is watch the Sox beat them like a drum.
I still remember the boos Damon got for gonna to the Yankees. He never really got over it.
