The offense kind of shit the bed too. 1st and 3rd with nobody out and the top of the order coming up. One run on an infield single. Nothing since.

Is schreiber one of the returning player reinforcements who’s going to help the team?

Joe Kerrigan could have led the 2018 team to a title. They were that good.

Cora needs to go. His feel for the game is shit. He was pinch hitting for casas a couple games ago. His bullpen management is nothing short of braindead. Fire his ass. It won't happen now, but they need someone competent at the helm next year.

This is a garbage roster that is in a wild card race in August. I would argue that the manager is one of the reasons that they are even in the race.

There is a lot more to the job than the nightly Russian Roulette that he has to play with whatever waiver wire fodder that the GM gives him in the bullpen.

And to Cora’s credit, it’s worked out pretty well before this trip.

Boston’s bullpen has the 6th best ERA in MLB.

Why does every team we play seem to have better bullpen arms than us?
Three teams with better bullpens: Braves, Giants, and Mariners. (The two others are Yankees and Guardians.)

That’s my point. The bullpen management has worked out pretty well this year. In fact it’s been much better than I expected it to be at the beginning of the season. Cora didn’t all of a sudden forget how to manage a bullpen today because Schriber sucked and they felt like they needed to stay away from a few guys.

The Red Sox prospects in any given game are directly inversely proportionate to how excited or not excited I am about them at that precise moment. It's not only game to game, but inning to inning. It's uncanny.
